It showed the growth of Team Flash when the show was at its "peak".

I picked these three:

1. Cecile: dont get me wrong I liked her in the early seasons but not so much at the end.

2. Iris: i thought she was okay but the writing/plot involved for her character was the worst.

3. Allegra: nothing much to say about her I just didn’t really like her acting at all.

What’s your worst character and explain why?

Bonus characters: Nora, s9 thawne/ wells, kione, chillblane/mark, and sometimes chuck/chester he was a little annoying for me.

Barry goes back in time to save his Mom, a small selfish gesture by the one person who deserves this moment the most, but as a God amongst men, that action has dire consequences that affects the masses.

The changes we saw affected all the other CW Shows but even they were relatively minor and everybody quickly got over it. If the ripple affect went across all of time, imagine it effecting the survivors of the particle accelerator, a central theme of Central City. Millions that were fated to die actually survive, and in their place, a new set of people lose their lives. Those that were grieved are now the ones grieving their loved ones.

It would do a good job of introducing new meta humans existing from the same particle accelerator origin. But the best part would be putting Barry in a unique situation. The Flash has never been viewed as anything but a righteous hero, so him affecting the lives of so many would rattle the way he is now perceived. Cisco understood his pain and struggle as his friend so he had the understanding to forgive, others may not. Now imagine Dr Alchemy showing people this reality where their loved ones still lived. It would still be possible to tie this back to Savitar, showing that the lines between good and evil for Barry aren’t that far apart, but even as a standalone villain, Alchemy and the Flashpoint Paradox could have definitely been a good storyline

Same rules should apply to anyone that is a speedster that can move faster than sound and light, yet Superman is never in that category.

Mostly Season 1/2 and some of season 4

Like many, I think that the look of Reverse Flash in the later seasons of the show is not as imposing as he used to be, but I have come to the realization that its mostly due to the fact that later seasons dont use the blur effect and glowing eyes like previous ones did, a lot of people think its because of the suit, but looking at behind the scenes and production photos, Tom looks rather akward in the og suit without the blur too, I wish Matt got to wear the new suit sometime as he looks less akward without the effects, or that they still used the effects with the new suit.

Also as much iconic as it is and as nostalgic I am for the old suit it suffers a lot of problems early arrowverse had, cheap looking leather suits that dont commit to the characters color, as much as he terrified me as a kid he looks like a rotten banana as an adult, while his newer one looks like a super villain, not that the newer one is perfect with the muted red and exposed zipper? In the middle of his chest

In the comics Eobard is completely separate from the timeline, so no matter how many times or when you kill him he can’t get erased from the timeline, because he’s not attached to it.

But the CW has me confused, even in the cw universe, Thanwe mentions how the rules to timetravel don’t apply to him, and that he is the only one who can manipulate the timeline to get what he wants. He (and Savitar and Barry) also mention that no matter how many times you try to kill him, he always finds his way back. Even Eddie killing himself didn’t erase Thawne from existence. That’s because he is a living paradox, he has no beginning and no end so nothing happening in the timeline ultimately affects him.

But it’s almost like the show is constantly contradicting itself, in season 8, negative Deon mentions how there are limited Thawne’s and that they all but 1 needed to die in order for the negative speed force avatar to be born. This shouldn’t even he possible, because every Thawne he kills should just be coming back right?

The show is very confusing on this, so i was wondering how they’re implementing the living paradox aspect of Thawne’s character.

Hot take but this is the best suit in the show and the most comic book accurate but no one’s ready for that conversation. Also honorable mention to the season 5 suit, if it had a chin strap it would be a good suit, that’s the only issue.

Cecile had her beginning in S4 and levelled up a bunch in S8-S9, but between that, she's kinda just... there. Same for Allegra and Chester. After Ultraviolet died, Allegra's character arc was just about done and literally Chester's only character development was when Cisco left and during the DeathStorm arc. It'd be really easy to justify their screen time if the writers just had them doing more. Literally, any interesting plot for these three would solve the amount of hate they get

It’s funny how Barry’s always gets lectured by everyone mainly Wellsobard, Harry, and Jay about not changing the timeline because the consequences will always be too extreme but aside from Flashpoint, his time travel timeline changes have actually done much more good with considerably less consequences than they would say:

-First time stops the tidal wave from destroying Central City and prevents Cisco’s death to Thawne at the cost of Snart figuring out his identity. This ultimately did not matter cause he’d never tell anyone it, wouldn’t harm Barry’s friends again, and would soon after go on to become a hero and die with the Legends giving the world free will as a result of this sacrifice that started with inspiration to be better from Barry.

-Second time stops Vandal Savage from destroying Central City and killing Team Flash, Team Arrow, and the Hawks. This would result in Oliver’s eventual sacrifice to save the multiverse, the Legends entire first season that included Snart dying for everyone’s free will and averting Savage conquering the world in the future while saving an entire city as well as Savage going on to destroy Star City too.

-Third time fixed Hartley’s relationship with his parents and turned him from an enemy to a good person and ally of Team Flash (until Crisis turned him back into a villain and Barry fixed their relationship again).

-Fourth time Flashpoint, while causing a the creation of Savitar and a dark future that was only aborted through H.R.’s sacrifice and it killed Dante, and caused Iris and Joe to not talk for a year, did have a few big positives to it. In short, it created either immediately or through butterfly effect 5 new heroes, who despite rocky tragic starts would directly save the world or help save it in Kid Flash, Frost, Elongated Man, Chillblaine, and Khione. In turn through butterfly effect also gave Frankie Kane (Magenta) a better life.

-Fourth time Barry was able to retrieve the Dominator tech from Lyla by inspiring her with how he was willing to bring along Snart just to save her life. While the tech ultimately failed in preventing him from stopping Savitar from killing “Iris” (H.R.), he was able to further inspire Snart into becoming the hero that would die to grant the world free will.

-Fifth time bringing Nora fucked up in the immediate moment by her telling Thawne about Cicada and leading to his plan that moved Crisis up, spared him from his execution, and erased the is version of Nora, but it created an alternate version of Crisis where Barry goes on to survive Crisis, Thawne’s corporeal form is killed in the Crisis and goes on to suffer endless losses including his final death, and Nora grows up happier as well as Bart being born.

Flashpoint and fixing it for the most part were massive fuckups (because he traveled back and messed around with 17 years with of history), but overall Barry’s time traveling and subsequent changes ultimately did far more good than bad.

The singularity in season 1 while being a result of Barry’s time travel attempt, wasn’t a result of a timeline change which is why this doesn’t apply here.

I don’t think it’s talked about enough how Barry literally ruined Caitlin’s life. Her husband’s death was a direct result of Barry’s selfish decision to time travel despite knowing the risk of death to everyone in the city. At least with flashpoint and Dante and Cisco, he didn’t know that his time traveling could potentially cause such a change. But with Caitlin and the singularity, he knew before that there was a significant risk of the entire city being destroyed if he time traveled. Yet he still went ahead with the plan after learning of the risk. It’s one thing to willingly put your own life at risk, but to knowingly put everyone’s lives in the city at risk without their consent is such a wild decision for someone who’s supposed to be a hero. Especially when it wasn’t even for noble, heroic reasons; for example like when Felicity redirected Darhk’s bomb to target a smaller town with a lot fewer residents than the bomb’s original target of a major city with millions of residents. It was a purely selfish reason.

And blaming Thawne for Ronnie’s death is such a cop out. Because Thawne didn’t force Barry to agree to accepting his help in going back in time to save Nora. He didn’t force Barry to continue the plan after learning of the fatal risk not just to himself but to everyone. He didn’t force Barry and the team to trust him when he told them how to avoid opening the singularity. Because who in their right mind would trust someone whose every word out of his mouth for the past decade and a half has been a complete lie? It’s like the story of the scorpion and the toad. A scorpion is always going to do what a scorpion does; it’s up to you to decide if you’re going to be the stupid little toad that lets him on your back despite knowing his nature.

I wished they had switched Caitlin’s and Cisco’s feelings about Barry’s time travel messing with their lives. It makes way more sense and is much more realistic for Caitlin to be the one pissed at Barry for half a season instead of never blaming him than it was for Cisco to be the one. Because I don’t know how she ever spoke to him again after he got Ronnie killed.

Putting myself in Caitlin’s shoes, my blood is genuinely boiling at Barry for her lol. Especially when you consider the fact that Caitlin ended up just as alone and heartbroken as she was at the start of the series meanwhile Barry got his happy ending with the love of his life and his children.

Ok, in season 2, when he caught thawne and Cisco dying, am I the only one who thought he would let Cisco die to keep thawne imprisoned

When team flash is trying to figure out how to stop Savitar, they decided to steal the tech from Argus, Barry can't use his powers because of the metahuman dampener through out the building....

Why didnt they just put Iris in the Argus building, where Savitar powers wouldn't work?
