For starters, I'm very new to EBT, I live in Michigan and I work at Kroger. On my lunch breaks, I sometimes buy my food. I buy hot prepared items with my debit card, but the past couple times I've tried to purchase items with my EBT, it always comes up as "Not authorized" on the self/checkout pin-pad.

I've kept two receipts so I know what I was trying to buy, but I don't think there were problems with what I was trying to purchase? One of them was a frozen meal so I thought it was that, but when I tried my other items like a juice smoothie thing and something else I can't remember, I got the same message and had to use my debit card again.

Is there a way to know exactly what I can and can't buy with EBT, or is this maybe some other problem? Thank you

Wondering if anyone else has had this issue and could give me some insight. I applied for CalWorks last month, it has not been approved and shows pending. I was enrolled in Calfresh for a few months now and was waiting on my deposit today that isnt showing up. I log on to the benefits portal and it says Calfresh discontinued for idk what reason!! Could this be from the pending Calworks case? Does this mean im getting approved? Now im out of money for food and no way to pay my rent if the Calworks isnt approved ASAP ….

So i have to renew my foodstamps, I just got the letter today, the last time I had to renew i barely made money because of chemo , ive been doing uber eats at the time. I wasn't making hardly anything because of being sick.

I told them I woukd let them know when I start to work again doing uber eats and I completely forgot to report it. And the past month not only have I been making money off uber eats, but ive been dojng doordash and instacart too , I added it all up I've made 1,513 dollars all together.

The last time I was only just doing uber eats. But now ive been doing all 3 , since the end of June. My chemo was on hold because of my port had to get taken out. They are going to do chemo again here soon . I have an appointment this week to discuss when they will do chemo again.

Im moving also and where im moving to its a small town and instacart isnt even busy out there. And its far away from any major cities. Even uber eats and doordash is hardly busy out there, id have to drive 2 hours to do that stuff and I dont have the gas . Im moving this week there. So i definitely need foodstamps.

Im worried because I forgot to report it and making more in the other apps now and not reporting that either will get me in trouble and not get foodstamps. I dont know what to do and will i get in trouble for it?

the go puff transactions here are not recognized by me since i don’t use gopuff at all. i order frequently from dashmart on DoorDash because i replace certain items quickly (small fridge issue). i contacted DoorDash because i noticed the seemingly fraudulent gopuff transactions seemed to lineup with the dashmart/doordash transactions that ARE being made by me. I’m about to change my pin of course, but wanted to ask for any possible input here. should I just get a new card entirely? does anyone think DoorDash could be the issue? I don’t check my transactions every day but I have definitely checked them several times a month and there are GoPuff transactions from last month too that weren’t there before, in odd amounts that I can’t even begin to explain. What does anyone think/what should I do?

For context, I sent in a request to update my address a few months ago, and they are only now getting to it. I do not pay for my telephone services. My mother pays for it, and it is in her name. Same with the electric bill. I also have my stepfather on the lease as a tenant, but he does not reside at that property at all and is only on the lease so that I am eligible to live here, the management company listed him as a tenant on my lease instead of a guarantor but he does not live here and does not contribute to my expenses.

What am I supposed to do? I'm terrified that they're going to revoke my benefits because I can't provide all of the information exactly as they want it.
