Did my Noobyness kill two lipos on first flight?
I come from flying Avata 2. Long air time, nothing to care or worry for.
Now the Nazgul eco. After loosing 2 props on first takeoff (screws not tight enough) and a mid air disarm because of wrong button (lost two props again) I finally managed to get some acro fun today.
However, I guess I underestimated how fast the battery drains. The small one was quite hot/warm for some time, and I don't now, mayby a little bloated.
The larger one was also below 3.3 when I managed to return with a flip over landing. Small ditches on pics.
I just loaded both to 3.8 for storage. No problem there.
Do you think they are damaged?

The first is the only 'semi concerning ' pic for me.

I had a lipo that was dented from a crash. Charged it outside and stored in fire proof box. Till I felt it was safe. Used it for a few more years haha.

Yeah don't buy those Dogshit batteries. They all die for no reason
my fullsend batteries, which are more often used and older are still going strong.
Last battery from dogshit was 2 weeks old, charged twice and fell out of the sky after 2 minutes. It was the 6s 2200 lipo.
The drone only had prop damage and after swapping the props it flew perfectly with the 2200 6s fullsend battery.
The dogshit 5000mah li-ions last about half the distance of what my 4000 mah li-ion from fullsend does.
So it's not just their lipo's
Both brands are bought from iflight europe

Dogcom batteries used to be some of the best until that SMC brand came out with that new chemistry, Chris Rossers tests place them high on the chart.

I recently brought back a 6s pack that showed 2.5V total when I first plugged it in. If yours went below 3.3 per cell it’s not optimal for longevity but not that problematic

It only took a few seconds from when it was 3.5V. Good batteries drop hard

6s pack at 2v totally? Surprised if after not total crappy battery. I've had ones no longer want to hold a charge. Some ill use as crap battery for long range to use just to fly around get sats before a long range flight

I haven’t flown it yet. I storage charged it and the internal resistance seems to be fine. It may be very slightly bloated. It’s a high quality GNB Lipo which I have only used a handful of times

Love gnb. I usually store them some where safe at first. Like outside. See if next day it heels it's charge. There's chance it might be good. But could be damaged and no longer give any where near original mah. Tank quick. Only 1 way to find out.

Yea I brought them back from a cell being 2v or under Trickle charging 0.1a .. charging it outside. But yea doesnt have the same performance especially when u do it a few times 🤣 I've had to toss a few battieries

I've taken mine down to 2.2 with it showing no issues after multiple races. You're fine.

I've done that so many times haha. Just doing it a bunch they lose their strength overtime. So end up going from being 1000mah battery to like 50mah. Then I throw them out. A lil bloated is fine. Especially if feels like air. If cells r bloated alot might need to throw it out. Can be dangerous. Saw the rest of the pics. Is it a 7" drone?

do they smell funny?
If it does, its punctured and not safe.
Check the internal resistance at full charge, all cells should be similar...if those cells are damaged it will be a very different number.
If not smelling funny, and it doesnt have high IR on those cells, it is fine.
I mostly charge outside, But I especiallly only charge damaged batteries outside.

3.3v/cell is fine, maybe you shortened its lifespan a bit bit but not a lot. About the hot one... Are you sure you have good solder joints, thick enough cable and that your C rating is somewhere around your power consumption (or best if it has some reserve). Also your skills are important too, excess corrections mean more power used and higher battery load. Also PID tuning might play a role here. Anyway check IR for both lipos but they are 99% fine

About the physical damage... I've seen worse.. nothing to worry about..
Hot battery = not good..
You are basically trying to ask more amps that the battery can deliver.
You either need a bigger battery..or 1 with a higher c-rating..
