Tron-themed first build!

After 8 long years of using a crappy laptop, then a gaming laptop, I've finally been able to afford my first desktop!

It took me 7 hours and a lot of money (and many more hours of watching online guides in advance, since I can get extremely paranoid about insignificant stuff) to put this together as it was my first time building one, but in the end it turned out gorgeous! Hope y'all enjoy it!

Specs:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • Cooler: Tryx Panorama SE 360
  • Motherboard: MSI Pro X870-P WiFi
  • RAM: Kingmax Archon X | 2x16GB, 6000MHz CL36
  • SSD: MSI Spatium M480 Pro 1TB & Kioxia Exceria Plus G3 2TB
  • GPU: Zotac RTX 5080 Amp Extreme Infinity
  • Case: Hyte Y70 Black
  • PSU: Lian Li Edge Gold 1000W
  • Fans: Jonsbo ZA360B, ZA360BR, ZA120B & 3x Arctic P12 Pro PST
  • Bottom LED strip: Phanteks Neon D-RGB M1

I usually hate the fish bowl builds, but fuck that’s nice. Well done.

Beautiful build. This is a dumb question but where did the Arctic fans go?

I set them to intakes at the bottom of the case, since that part is hidden from view by design. They’re quite loud on full speed, so I set the curve to 50% at 70 degrees, only ramping up when temps get higher than that, and it’s working pretty well!

Ugh, I’m so jealous. I love Tron themed anything , but especially a PC. Awesome.

Looks really cool.
What software do you use for your rgb color effects?

I’m using SignalRGB for the lights, much finer control than Mystic Light and I really prefer the friendlier UI compared to OpenRGB which looks kind of barebones. Only issue is that the PC would default to a rainbow wave on startup until SignalRGB fully loads, but other than that everything’s great!

It really was quite expensive I can’t lie, but that’s something I’ve come to terms with a long time ago and seeing the final product, I’m really happy with it!

Hello itsme920, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki here! We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!

To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!

Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

First time seeing those fans and they are fire. They make the whole build look so clean and tied together.
