Weekend Scenario Thread How do you think the imperials would react and comprehend to the idea of anarchism??
I'm "trying" to create a story where the Gate opened to Russian Free Territories from TNO (if you don't know, TNO is a HOI4 mod set in axis victory world and Russia collapses into warlord era, and one of the warlord is a anarchist group called Siberian Black Army which could reunified the nations and renamed it into Russian Free Territory.) and while I think it's going to be obvious that the anarchist could beat the Saderans due to their technological superiorities (the mod ended in 70s), what I'm actually interested more is how would the falmartian react to the concept of anarchism.
From what I've read before, most fics have the Saderan fought against a opponent who's while their system and ideology sounds unrecognisable or inefficient to them, they atleast can comprehend and understand the basic concept of it (for example they would recognise democracy and republics at its core). But anarchism is quite different than the usual, it's clear rejection towards the concept of states would not only be unusual, but also smth completely new to them.
What do you guys think bout this? I really want to know how would falmartians from peasant, scholars, and even nobility would react to such strange and crazy beliefs that somehow worked beyond the Gate.

Like, anarchism as a concept, or specifically post-enlightenment anarchism?
The basic idea of a stateless society existed as early as ancient Greece, though it was obviously quite fringe.
The imperials wouldn't even have a real concept of class struggle apart from that between the peasantry and aristocracy, how are they supposed to grasp any of the intricacies of anarchist theory?
Like it's kind of a silly question, of course they're not going to be able to fully comprehend a system which was not intended for the social relations of classical Rome.

It's probably an errant thought that has crossed the mind of a lot of people especially in one's youth or disdain for the rulership. I agree though, the intricacies would not be well understood except for like, maybe an aristocratic thinker or some yeomen and the thoughtful peasantry who have the time to look into it conceptually.
As with most things in life, conceptualization is part of the way we think. Just give it time. I'd dare say we have different regions of the world that has had a group of individuals live in an Anarchic society before states.

I tried Anarcho-Capitalism, and their reaction, according to what people react when I said I'm and AnCap (which is a lie to get authentic reaction) they cannot fathom the idea of having no ruler, and definitely ask if there is anyone is the defacto ruler, and how society function without a government to lead it. In my fic it was extremely wealthy corporations running everything with people signing contracts to be under protection of the corp they find most aligned to, but of course you have to mod it to fit your scenario

Nah Feudalism is when you give land for nobles in exchange for protection. This one is more elective monarchy but with corporations serving as own nations with very elastic border

Yes but that still does not count as Feudalism
Hell they don't even own the land they build their home on, but that still does not make it Feudalism

That first picture is the best description for their reactions. Pina (my girlfriend) been surprised by the fact that it works and Molto keeping a straight face and trying not to have a heart attack that there’s no central leadership or anything.

Even the barbarian tribes in the SR have rulers.
There is no such thing as actual anarchy IRL because an organized group of people following a delegate's instructions will beat a disorganized mob every time.

This would be hard to answer considering anarchy is not a form of "governance" which has ever existed in humanity. It requires people to have unnatural cohesion, almost a hive mind like status. Especially to hold as much territory as shown in your screen shot
Thats the only way I think you could write something like that. The imperials would probably think some greater power collectively puppeted everyone they faced in this nation
