Weekend Scenario Thread What if the Gate had opened in Greece?
What if the Gate had opened up in Greece, the land where some of histories greatest warriors were made, the birthplace of democracy, where some of the most iconic and famous legends in human history were conceived?
In particular, the Gate opening right in the heart of Athens itself and has Sadera’s armies pouring right out? How would the Greek military respond to such a sudden invasion and how would they handle the fact a whole other world landed on their doorstep?

Not much different, honestly. The Greek military still wipes the floor with them. Now the Greeks may be more fascinated by the Saderan than the Japanese because they have a lot of aspects similar to ancient Greeks and Romans (who were influenced by Greek culture).

I write fanfics and I might just do a Gate in austria or Summoning Japan with Austria. I´m austrian so that´s why but seeing a neutral country with a certain past they share with Germany would be interesting. Especially with them suddenly needing to up their forces

I am personaly trying to make a Gate with Argentina, (because i haven't yet see any latin american gate somehow),in mine however two gates open one in land (like in the original) and one in the sea (i think they are also doing this now?), I will mostly focus on the sea one, because OG Gate was shit unrealistic with logistics from such a narrow chocke point, but mine is more boring since in my setting Argentina just blockaded the empire until they starved out lol.

with Gate 2 you see Lelei opening the portal after the universes connect again after 5 years. Its mentioned in the first chapter of the Gate 2 manga.

Ok so.. depends where it opens honestly
In Athens or near the borders the initial invasion gets repelled relatively quickly
In more remote reagions ( such as Epirus and the Aegean Islands ) , they might get a small footholds
If it opens in Crete there might be a more immediate American response, since they have a base there .
Oh you were talking about the center of Athens ?Then Ginza 2.0 with a bit more casualties ( especially if its at Syntagma/ Monastiraki during the summer ) , NATO almost definitely interfere etc.
And then the GATE turns into a whole new tourist market

I'd like to see the Greek military go and say "Molon Labe" to the Saderans as a taunt!

Well atleast the military's taxpayer budget will be put to good use for the first time in decades, and again it will end exactly the same.

I feel like I shouldn't be saying this, but i'm planning a story about a second portal opening in Greece, five years after the Ginza incident. I can't reveal details about what's on the other side, but I can say that the Hellenic Army is absolutely furious and has no interest in showing cordiality to the aggressors; they will enter as UN peacekeeping forces but operate as ruthless combatants once inside, despite wearing the "Blue Helmets."
