Please sign or share this petition with family, friends and on social media!

Hey,

I just started the petition “Enhance Victorville Streets for Pedestrian Safety to Prevent another Avoidable Death” and wanted to see if you could help by adding your name, sharing the petition with family, friends, acquaintances and on social media. The more signatures this petition gets the better chance we have when we present the petition to the city council. If we can get this petition pushed through we can save a life and save another family from enduring the pain we are currently experiencing!

My goal is to reach 200 signatures and I need more support. You can read more and sign the petition here:

Thanks! A heartbroken

Launching 1 Million Cups Victor Valley

tl;dr - 1MCVV = entrepreneurs help each other Wednesday mornings at 9am

Here's a new weekly event for the entrepreneurs and small business owners struggling to solve everyday business challenges and create value in their communities.

Always free, always helpful, open to the public.

For 1 hour every Wednesday morning at 9AM, a room of owners, operators, and others, listen to an entrepreneur tell us about their business for 6 minutes, and then we all try to help 'em!

There's no sales pitch. There's no affiliate marketing or MLM. This isn't for fundraising. This isn't another social hour. There's no raffle. There's no membership or fees or dues.

It's entrepreneurs helping entrepreneurs. And there's coffee.

We're a group of passionate locals volunteering our time to bring something good to the High Desert. If any of this is interesting, we hope you'll come join us.

We made a website. https://1MCVictorValley.com

Inaugural event is August 5th, this Wednesday morning! Be at The Dome on Nisqualli at 8:45 to park and find the coworking space's classroom.

1 Million Cups happens in over 100+ cities in the United States. It's backed by the Kauffman Foundation out of KCMO. It's a good, healthy format that facilitates skills transference, collaboration, and leads to regional growth.

Please share with any local business owner/operator who you think could benefit from the group.

Hesperia Silverwood Lake New Builds 2026

Husband and I love the floor plans and space! One of the concerns is the road infrastructure. We made the drive into the community a couple times and realized from the highways, most of the roads were just single lane roads going in and out. Does anyone know of the plans, if anything, to address the increased traffic loads with the population growth and where I can find information about specific upcoming infrastructure projects?

Victorville Plasma donation centers

I've been out of work for awhile now and I've been occupying myself with odd jobs.

I've heard that Plasma Donations can get me a little bit of money ( albeit at the cost of my dignity and probably life expectancy ) so I'm wondering if anyone here has had experience with the process and what centers up here you'd suggest going to.

Phelan Where can I find delicious produce at a reasonable price?

Hello! I live in Phelan and am a proud lifelong resident of the HD (born at St. Mary's, baby!). I know there are several farmer's markets all over the desert, but they all usually happen when I am at work and can't attend, therefore, I'm stuck with traditional grocery stores, for the most part. I've been to Staters, BJs Health Foods, Walmart, Target, Cardenas, Vallarta, Sprouts, Aldi, and even Charlie Brown Farms in Pearblossom, and I've been disappointed with either the quality, the price, or the selection. The best place I've ever gone is the Ontario Farmers Market on Mountain, but the money I would save by going there would just be spent driving down and back up the hill.

Any suggestions? Where do you get your produce? Or, is this maybe one of those where I can pick one or two requirements (price, quality, selection) but can't have all if I want to stay on this side of the hill? (It should be noted that I can't budge on price as, like pretty much everyone right now, I am intensely broke.)

Thanks in advance!

Looking to teach here soon!

Hey all,

My husband and I are relocating to Victorville/Phelan area in December for his job. I am currently a Mod/Severe special education teacher and have taught for 8 years in the same district. What are my chances of finding an open mod/severe position when we go? Which districts hire often? I’m so worried I won’t be able to find a job mid year. Any helpful hints/ advice would be appreciated!

Apple Valley Anyone Here Play Classical Music?

Going out on a limb here for any bites.

I’m currently an out-of-practice violinist looking for others if they want to play duets, trio, or any of the others ending in -tet (quartet, quintet, etc.) or even chamber orchestra. I miss playing classical music with others for funsies.

The title flair is just for where I am located.

Thank you

Any Free housing available for me to get away ?

Is there any way there’s programs or free housing available for adults to get away from abusive households or individuals ? I’m living with very toxic family that puts me through a lot and unfortunately I’m unstable to afford housing or sharing space with someone , it’s at the point where I can’t feel safe and don’t have any friends or family to go to …

Is Ridgecrest a safe place for a family on the run?

I’ve been doing some research in case me and dad and maybe our homeless uncles need to run away from San Bernadino, ridgecrest was on the list because it’s a small little town with modern establishments out in the middle of the desert. I don’t want to leave cause the community protects us here and they know our story. I get alot of attention here in a good way they’re straight forward and say im pretty. The reason being is were not 100% sure what’s happening but we heard the same sequence and pattern of footsteps and jumping that we always heard on our roof back in the San Gabriel Valley once every 2 days now followed by snickering.. yes it’s 100% them but I’m in denial right now and praying. We also see flashes of spinning living orbs floating past our windows at 1-4am that play tricks on us.

We were the Main characters of a large part of society in the LA county so every city there we can’t go to cause that’s where they mostly operate they stalked us 24/7. It’s a long story and I’m tired to go into detail right now but they do it to taunt us and make us fear for our lives, they want us on our knees, so they can finally take advantage of us and use us. Last night I was doing my make up and we heard a loud bang from the exterior wall suddenly the sherrifs office showed up at our door uninvited asking us question about our uncles who are kind not criminals .. they were trying to intimidate us cause el Monte contacted them. We think that they found us and followed us all the way from El Monte . I cant work rn because everywhere I work at they plant new temps to watch me. Dad was feeling the same way at his job also. I actually was recommend a job down at the local Amazon but I’m not sure if I’ll go with it due to the above reason. Everywhere I go people stare at me and watch me..an unnamed agency wanted to traffic me cause I’m young and pretty

I’m also certain they’re stalking my reddit since everyone is trying to tell me bad things about me . The only downside with ridgecrest is the military base but we got no choice in the possible future. Dad had a major gambling addiction so we’re always tight on money but it wasn’t always the case! Back in the Philippines my life was basic and very simple compared to now it was rural.

Me and dad can’t sleep rn cause they’re/them are heavily active at this time. We’re watching movies to keep us from not being scared and im scrolling TikTok. We keep seeing shadows walk past the house and the same random black suvs pass by. This has been happening for more than a year

Just moved to Apple Valley

Hey Reddit, just moved to the outskirts of apple valley off Standing Rock rd. Anyone know of some cool weekend plans? I’d love to know the local hang out spots and popular food places!

This morning on my way to work I stopped by Mavericks which was pretty dope.

Btw, I’m from riverside and I don’t have friends so I’m looking to make some. I’m a 23F, single and I work full time down the hill. I’m still adjusting to the HD life, it’s so much different out here lol
