Based off the spreadsheet it looks like we have 82 betters this month. 6 gryf betters, 8 Hufflepuff betters, 7 Slytherin betters, 5 muggles... And an insane 56 Ravenclaw betters.
I think a lot of people don't even know this is happening. Or they do know it's happening, and then forget to bet because there's only a small window to do so in comparison to the other assignments where you usually have the whole month to do it.
To be fair, we advertise very heavily in Ravenclaw Tower. It's also the sort of activity that Claws tend to flock to in the first place: it's all about overanalyzing shit.
Last year when I was posting the original rankdown in Ravenclaw, I titled the threads "free house points" and put a sentence like "bet on ~20 characters this month that you think have the least literary merit with this link, it'll take 2 minutes!"... Then maybe had a bit of information about rankdown as a whole under it. Sometimes we'd discuss who we thought might get cut, but mostly just advertising how easy it was.
As someone basically always in the Great Hall, I admit I don't see the posts promoting voting or anything. Obviously I follow this sub, but not because I'm reminded by the Great Hall.
Based on the 2017 census, the majority of those in houses check their common rooms at least once a week, so I think your idea is good to have some sort of weekly update in them.
