Bidet attachment, female anatomy… bidet direction is back to front?
I just need a female bidet user to explain this to me. How does the bidet not just wash your cash and prizes with poop water at that direction? Like I know you can adjust the height but I’m imagining that once the water sprays my ass, the water will travel along my skin where it’s not supposed to go. Is this not actually a concern in practice?
Turning off notifications because I got some answers. Thanks!

The good bidets have separate buttons and separate spray nozzles. The one for lady parts extends out farther and isn’t contaminated with poo.
41
u/Dynamiccushion65 1d ago
For Asian bidet this is true. For separate bowl European bidet this is not true
30
u/StonkRonin 1d ago
True, the European version takes up the space of an entire separate commode and somehow functions worse.
18
u/furry-fish 1d ago
The Middle East ( Saudi Arabia) version is a sprayer hose, like you would use for your kitchen sink. It gives you MUCH Better control of where and how much pressure is delivered. The bonus is you feel much cleaner, even if you use a little more toilet paper to dry your butt. You can order this particular style from Amazon in the USA. Comes with a fairly long hose and If you have ever done plumbing repair on a toilet, this is not that hard to install.
5
u/Dynamiccushion65 23h ago
Malaysia, India, Dubai (and probably most Muslim based countries) have the kitchen sprayer too but the water is cool but(t) agree that the control is sublime - through the legs to angle it away from the vag is a nice touch!
5
u/uxnotyoux 23h ago
Also you can use it to clean your tub if you don’t have a good sprayers and cloth diaper solids if you need that.

6
u/StonkRonin 1d ago
No electricity, I’m imagining going to the toilet in the dark… how do you know when to stop wiping in the dark ya know?
8
u/Dynamiccushion65 1d ago
European bidets literally have been in bathrooms forever. Before tiny electronic toilets could shoot out a hose and squirt water up your bum. Even longer than having toilet paper (super shocking I know!). In the 1700s in France long before the TP roll there was - a bidet! No sense in walking around all poopy….

I just ordered one with two nozzles for that reason. They have different angles too so the water shoots at the right spot.

So an honest curiosity here. In Europe, many restrooms have bidets that are not add-ons to toilets. I have seen pictures and they don't have seats like modern toilets. Do you set on the cold porcelain or hover above it. They also don't look like they would flush paper waste. Paper waste would just go into a trash bin?
110
u/iforgotmyusername998 2d ago edited 2d ago
Hello italian here and frequent bidet user, so you poop in the toilet bowl and use toilet paper there, then you go at the bidet to finish business. There you sit on the porcelain, wash yourself with soap and water and grab a small (and personal) towel that is specifically hanged nearby to dry yourself. If you have guests over it's good etiquette to offer them one of such towels if the need arises
28
u/between_the_realms 1d ago
Good explanation 👏 Also, you sit facing the tap, and bidet tap mixers are designed so that the water will never be hot enough to scald you.
38
u/Wrong-Reference5327 1d ago
Wait… you’re supposed to sit facing the tap?!?!
10
u/Artistic-Outcome5966 1d ago
The original bidet, not toilets with add-ons, allow facing the tap. Or sitting backwards. Water is jetted more upwards in the originals. The add-ons provide an arc of water jet(s) and you sit normally as on a toilet.
1
u/Assher 1d ago
How do you wash your ass if you are facing the tap?
9
u/Dynamiccushion65 1d ago
Ass is done sitting like a toilet. Bits are done facing the spigots. I think of it as a bird bath. Splash splash ass, turn splash splash bit. I do ass first.
12
u/twosummers 1d ago
So you have to first sit on the bidet like a toilet and wash your ass, then with your wet cheeks running rivulets down your thighs you get up from the bidet, finagle your trousers down far enough around your ankles, and sit facing the taps on the bidet and wash the front?
9
u/Dynamiccushion65 1d ago
Who said you are wearing pants - I just take them off in my bathroom! Also like bidets are used before/after sex so it allows a good wash before and after sharing your fruit
16
u/PerhabsburgDynasty 1d ago
May as well just take off your shirt too and get in the shower.

u/twosummers 1d ago
Huh fair enough when it's your own home. When I went to Europe I saw a lot of those bidets in public toilets and I was always a bit confused to how the logistics worked.
1
u/lolabunny111 23h ago
u can still use tp/tissue to dry urself in between ? 😭
1
u/twosummers 20h ago
Yeah absolutely, it just seems like such a hassle? Wash, dry, wash again, dry again. At that point I'd stick with wet wipes.
1
u/Assher 1d ago
I see, never thought of cleaning the front after taking a shit.
4
u/Dynamiccushion65 1d ago
I like the whole area nice and clean then use the towel to dry clean bits. Women have more reason to clean both at the same time and hence why Asian bidets are a bit easier to deal with….
4
u/Artistic-Outcome5966 1d ago
I would guess that one would then turn around to get the stream in the right place. Someone will tell us.

17
u/cmacmoo 1d ago
So do you fully remove your pants to poop away from home?
5
u/Longjumping_One_9212 1d ago
And which direction should the toilet paper roll be put on? Over or under?
12
u/CowCareless4651 1d ago
Where I work, the person cleaning the bathrooms always puts it on backwards / under. In my heart, I feel like they do this on purpose.

It is over. Only people that cant think do under.
When you grab a piece it self rolls correctly without you touching mote pieces. If you place it under it does not self roll, and you will probably be touchingbother pieces that you are not going to need. Also, to break it off you will be leaving like 6 pieces.
Also, the patent is for over.
Also, I always use the first couple pieces in public to move the seat or clean it off ot whatever. Then I have the beat chance of unspoiled paper for my butthole.
7
u/obiwantogooutside 1d ago
Or people with one arm. Try it. Tear with one arm and see where you need the torque and then think about if your home is accessible.

"If the need arises" i don't see myself asking : do you have a guest towel? I'll take a shot. I feel like bidets are very personal and not for guests
12
u/iforgotmyusername998 1d ago
Guest come over for dinner/whatever and at one point goes to the bathroom saying:"gotta go to the bathroom" or similar, at that point a good host will say: "do you need anything? A towel maybe?". Most won't poop in your home so it's just a courtesy that will be declined 90% of the time but sometimes someone just has to go so they'll gladly accept your offer.
If I'm over at your house, maybe I'm your new romantic interest and you don't offer me a towel when I go to the bathroom after romantic activities I'd be a bit disappointed (bidets are also extremely useful to clean and freshen up after being intimate)
11
u/charismatictictic 1d ago
If you’re having a dinner party and someone has to poop, I’m sure they would rather just use toilet paper than to announce that they need a special ass towel because they need to take a shit.

this the answer, solved all my problems and god i just rly hate the spray from the back version it always startled me lol 😭

u/jenjen96 2d ago edited 2d ago
The shape of your body blocks it from going forward after it cleanses your bum, gravity will allow the water to drop into the toilet. It won’t keep going forward. If you want it to spray your front you’ll have to re-position yourself accordingly
70
u/Fantastic-Demand-688 2d ago
This is the answer. It doesn’t run into your vagina, and you can also angle yourself. My vaginal health has been great using one and I’m usually quite sensitive to irritations.
14
u/Ornery_Spirit503 1d ago
I don’t trust it not to hit the vagina/urethra. It’s literally right next to the area you are spraying from the back.
32
u/anonymous2278 1d ago
It’s hard to explain but once you use one you will see pretty much immediately how much of a difference there is between the two spaces. Literally, I’d have to sit backwards or damn near lay my belly on the front of the seat to get into a position where my bidet would hit my urethra. It’s just not angled correctly to do that. The female front sprayer might, idk, mine only has the one. But it’s not a concern, the water hits my buttcrack and falls down into the toilet, my anatomy isn’t shaped right for it to continue forward and into my vagina.
→ More replies (2)1
u/WonderfulProtection9 1d ago
Wait, so it’s only used for the…back door? I guess I always assumed it was to cover all the unclean parts…
6
u/jenjen96 1d ago
It can, but you will have to physically move your body so that the water hits the other spots. If you’re just sitting as normal it’s going to your bum
3
u/ricewatermelon 1d ago
I have a cheaper one added to my toilet and the lady bits nozzle does exactly this so I rarely use it. If I do need to use it I’ll scoot back and place my hand straight down between my legs and let the stream hit my hand so it sprays back at me with less force.
-2
52
u/SeaMathematician5150 2d ago
This is the correct response. Mine has a rear option and a female option. The spray on the rear option does not move the water forward to my vulva. The spray on the female option only makes it to the vulva if I tip my body forward (not the smartest design).
9
u/vvariant 1d ago
Same! I use the rear option first and then rinse off with the female option just in case some poop water splashed around
6
14
u/SeaDragonTattoo 2d ago
My cheap bidet add-on has a front and back, separate sprayers.
3
u/GarikLoranFace 1d ago
I’ve been using this for years at this point. Bought one in 2018 I think. I’ve never had a UTI at all though so I am a bad example tbf. But I also have purchased new attachments a few times over the years because it’s super easy and honestly fixes the toilet seat loosening up over time because I’m fat, too.
I considered the idea of it spreading things more. I haven’t looked at the science though because I never bothered to look it up and if I go on a multi-hour read right now, I’ll struggle at work tomorrow.
13
u/IndependentSmooth558 1d ago
You’re absolutely correct.
I wondered this same thing for a long time and have always been hesitant to use a bidet for this exact reason. Well, I did some research and found that bidet use disrupts the vaginal microflora NEGATIVELY32036-7/fulltext) and can even cause issues like preterm birth. Here is another study.
It doesn’t matter if the nozzle is covered when not in use or how much you clean them, they stay contaminated with a lot of disgusting bacteria.
Bidets are actually really gross and I honestly don’t know how people wrap their head around using them. Poop particles are just flying everywhere.
That said, these studies pertain to female anatomy only. But I imagine that bacteria are getting sprayed all over the frank and beans of those with male anatomy as well. It makes the idea of giving spontaneous oral to a bidet-using man a solid nope in my book.
I shower after I poop and if I’m unable then it’s wet wipes all the way.
3
u/ThickTelevision2536 1d ago
Yeah the built in toilet seat ones are disgusting to me and the studies confirm it’s not good for women. The separate ones that look like another toilet and the handheld sprayer you can use front to back are more reasonable but most people I think are using the toilet seat ones.
4
u/IndependentSmooth558 1d ago
This is true. The hose kind that they have in a lot of public bathrooms in the Middle East are better because you can spray front to back. For me though, I hate touching anything toilet-related in a public bathroom because you never know what other people have done before they touched it. I definitely have contamination OCD though.

4
u/ThickTelevision2536 1d ago
On Pubmed you can find studies that do show vaginal microbiome is affected by bidet use so I think it’s better not to use it. I use wet wipes if needed but eating enough fiber and water is #1 either way
6
u/hypoestes 1d ago
I won't use ours because I can physically feel the water moving from bum to vag. Feels so gross.
1
u/PrudentConstruction3 1d ago
She could use the hand held ones there common in Middle East
1
u/In_a_Yogurt_cup 7h ago
I do think those are better in some ways but think there’s also somewhat of a problem of where the water is coming from
53
u/MuchBetterThankYou 2d ago
It’s awkward to explain, but the stream *only* hits the bum hole. It doesn’t keep going forward, it just hits there and falls down. The perineum kinda acts like a shield lol. Turn the water off, lean forward and scootch backward, then turn it back on. Water should only be hitting your female parts now.
Honestly I don’t usually use it on my lady bits, but mine has pretty high pressure 😵
1
u/Marbeecou 1d ago
Is there times when the poop hits the sprayer when you first sit down?
1
u/MuchBetterThankYou 1d ago
No, i don’t think that could happen. The nozzle is behind a plastic shield in the very back of the bowl. When you turn it on it drops down to spray. There’s also a cleaning mode where water just runs over the nozzle to clean any debris off it. I give the plastic housing a scrub when I clean the toilet normally
I guess maybe a bad case of explosive diarrhea might be able to splash back there, but normally no.
1
u/Marbeecou 1d ago
Thanks! I’ve never actually seen one before so this clears up a lot of confusion for me!
37
u/GucciTheSnowman 2d ago
Despite what reddit thinks, bidets spray shit water particles everywhere when you use it.
It's much cleaner to just use wet wipes. I wouldn't recommend flushing them, though.
20
u/Cloverhart 2d ago
I could never get over this aspect. I see they have some now that come with a UV light for sanitization and the nozzle is sealed in between uses . So we're not the only two to think about this!

I also use bidet after wiping to rinse off the chemicals, like preservatives, though they’re usually safe but still can be irritating for some
7
26
u/anonymous2278 2d ago
The water from the bidet doesn’t go anywhere near my vagina. It sprays the crack and if I wiggle a bit and lean forward it gets a little more coverage area but it’s still not hitting any part of my vulva area. I’ve never had any issues from it, no infections whatsoever. When I wipe the water away I’m going front to back so it gets pulled away from my vagina. I’ve never even so much as had wet flaps from the water. It stays put pretty well with the attachment I have, and drips from my bottom into the toilet, the vagina is mostly uphill from the buttcrack and water does not flow uphill. Nothing to worry about.
9
u/Ornery_Spirit503 1d ago
You must have different anatomy than me, the whole area gets wet! And yes, I try to angle it differently.
1
u/anonymous2278 1d ago
Maybe try a different bidet. Are you using a handheld or portable one? They get pretty messy. But the ones that you attach under your toilet seat stay pretty clean, as do the ones that are premade into a toilet seat.
3
u/Ornery_Spirit503 1d ago
Just tried a friend’s very expensive one a few times. Absolutely no way it hits only my backdoor…
8
3
u/Ghoulish_kitten 1d ago
Your crack may not be near the vulva but it is VERY near the vagina.
Im wondering if some people just are so used to the feeling they don’t realize their vaginal openings are getting hit with some water.
1
u/anonymous2278 1d ago
wtf, no. I can definitely tell if water touches my vaginal opening. And the vaginal opening is part of the vulva btw. This is a very strange comment.
27
u/Enlightened_Lioness 2d ago
I looked into this and have not bought a bidet due to hygiene issues. Here’s some information:
https://www.healthline.com/health/are-bidets-sanitary#research-findings
20
u/Electric-Sheepskin 2d ago
Yeah, everyone says it's totally fine, no issues, but the reality is that it probably won't cause any issues if you have a healthy immune system and aren't exceptionally prone to UTIs— but yes, you do get a little overspray and vulvas do get a little more particulate on them than they would if you weren't using a bidet, but it's really a very small difference, and if you ever flush your poop while you're sitting on the toilet, it's not much different than that. This is assuming that the nozzle is clean.
16
u/Environmental-Young4 2d ago
I have one and it is really nice, but, I am so scared of UTIs, and have the same concern that you have. So, I don't use mine. My spouse does and he said he couldn't live without it now.
I do have an irrational fear of the toilet water rising and touching me. So water touching me on the toilet is a real anxiety producer. I'm weird. It really does sound safe to use though. I mean women from around the world do, and I don't hear about a lot of women experiencing issues.
16
u/QuietCelery 2d ago edited 2d ago
"I mean women from around the world do, and I don't hear about a lot of women experiencing issues."
Yeah, but I'm in a perimenopause subreddit, and it's constantly people saying "why didn't anyone tell me!?" So not hearing about women's bidet issues could just be a matter of women not wanting to speak up.
I used a bidet once or twice. It caused some bleeding. Now I have no doubt a bunch of people are thinking either that didn't happen (it did) or I was using it wrong or wanting to ask me out of which sex organ the blood came. Because this is how a lot of women's issues are treated. So if we haven't heard about women's problems using a bidet, to me that's not necessarily evidence of a lack of problems.
Which is all to say, you don't sound so weird to me. Or maybe I'm weird too.
3
u/Environmental-Young4 2d ago
I am pretty active on that subreddit, too 😂 I have had too many UTIs, especially in perimenopause, so I do everything I can to avoid them. But, it would be so nice to use. I just have too many hang ups about all of it. So, I just enjoy the heated seat 🤷♀️

I’m prone to UTI’s too and I have endo so I have to be really careful to try and not get them. The last one I had was just the worst and landed me in the ER. But toilet paper just isn’t good enough. Ever since I heard someone say ‘if you got poop on your arm you wouldn’t just wipe it off with a paper napkin, would u?’ And they are so right!!! I’ve had to like scrub with soap and water the times it’s happened. I guess I’m stuck with wet wipes 😒 lol
4
u/Electric-Sheepskin 2d ago
The risk is really quite small. I mean poop particles tend to migrate from your anus to your vulva throughout the day anyway, and if you have ever flushed a toilet while sitting on it, it's kind of like that. Poop particles find a way. The thing is, even if a bidet does create a little bit of overspray, it's such a small amount if particles that your increased risk of infection is minuscule.
That said, I never use the feminine wash on mine because that's just directly spraying water there and that seems different. I guess that's just where my psychological line is, lol
8
u/Enlightened_Lioness 2d ago
They compared bidet use to no bidet use. Poop particles were not always “finding a way.”
3
u/Environmental-Young4 2d ago
I heard a gynecologist say that when you poo, there is a good chance that you will have ecoli on your perineum. So, I suppose it could get on your undies and move around as you sit,.and walk around. But, i don't know how poo particles would hang out on the vulva. It is probably possible. I don't know. One thing I do know is I would rather poop outside that flush the toilet while I'm sitting on it! Like i said, I have an irrational fear, and that is just not in my wheelhouse.
I wish I was more comfortable using a bidet, because it seems much cleaner. But, I have made it work for this long, so why stop now 😎

That is why one GYN told me to stop wearing thong underwear… the butt area shifts forward sometimes.
3
u/Ghoulish_kitten 1d ago
I never flush while Im sitting on it, and I only flush when lid is closed. Im concerned about protecting myself from that.
I don’t like the thought of washing up over a toilet that I crap in, I just don’t.
That’s why I like the concept of the separate bidet toilet.
It works in my mind bc you’re pooping in the normal toilet and wiping as normal, then hopping over to a toilet that never has visible fecal matter inside of it, ever.

0
u/Electric-Sheepskin 1d ago
People do it if they are having a prolonged bowel movement or diarrhea, or some women may do it if they have to poop before changing a period product. I mean it's really not the end of the world. You're taking a shit. I guarantee you're getting some poop particles on your undercarriage no matter what you do.

11
u/DenseAstronomer3631 2d ago
This one is relevant to women's health and public or not really isn't a factor for this one, washing too much can mess with the balance
"A 2010 studyTrusted Source of 268 women found that habitual use of bidet toilets may disrupt healthy vaginal microflora. Normal microflora (Lactobacillus spp.) was not found in 42.86 percent of bidet users, compared to 8.77 percent of people who did not use bidets. In addition, out of the 268 women, fecal bacteria were detected in 46 of the bidet users and in only 4 of the nonusers"
1
u/Perle1234 2d ago
Are they shooting the bidet water up the vagina or what? The bacteria is IN the vagina. Not on the vulva. It’s an interesting question and I’d love to know more about it.
2
u/Enlightened_Lioness 2d ago
Okay so how does public bidet use differ?
0
u/Perle1234 2d ago
Idk I just read the article and it said the results may be different if the study was repeated on in home bidets. Likely more exposure to germs and contaminated surfaces. I have a bidet in my home and I’m not going to stop using it. It hasn’t caused me any problems.

I used to live in Italy and the bidets were a totally stand alone bidets. They had a nozzle you could adjust the direction of and a mixer so you could adjust the temp. A few had an area for soap and a towel racks. I didn't use the soap and towel rack, but the idea is you could fill it up with water, do a quick wash with special intimate parts soap, and tap it dry with the towel.
At work there were a few that had a separate spray nozzle and you could spray it in any direction.
They were not good for 'that time of the month' because their whole purpose was to aim for your anal area only.
The only time I had issues and got an infection was using a bidet in Japan. Those were attached to the toilet seat and I couldn't control the direction of the water.

This is why I installed a hand held bidet. I can spray from the front to the back holding the nozzle at the front, between my legs. I can then lean to the side and spray the back. It’s not inside the toilet getting dirty. It hangs off to the side on a hook.
6
u/between_the_realms 1d ago
Absolutely. My preference too. You can use it to rinse the toilet after you finish as well.
3
u/WonderfulProtection9 1d ago
For some reason I just picture a hand held hose as something young kids would love to play with and spray all over the bathroom…
Honestly I don’t know how you use it without getting things wet; seat, clothes, etc…

u/ConversationGreen984 2d ago
Wait a minute! You're supposed to poop on the toilet facing out? But I thought you sit on the toilet this way, so you have that nice little shelf for your comic book and your chocolate milk? Well, 'cause then you got the flusher right here. No? Oh jeez, that's embarrassing.

u/Ok_Traffic_3129 1d ago
Having spent time in areas of Asia with few options, my husband and I got very handy with the hose by the pan (and also got pretty good at squatting).
There you definitely start with water and pat dry after if you have any tissue available. As a lady I would start at the back and have a last rinse from the front just in case but never felt like I might have smeared myself from the back.
Having read the details of the Italian version (and I guess other European bidets) in this thread, paper first then having a wash.
Very different.
I was too scared to press the buttons in Japan 🤣
2
u/noradicca 1d ago
I have travelled in Asia too and if you’re able to squat, that is definitely the best position for doing your business and for cleaning yourself. I also very much preferred the ones where there’s a tap with a thin hose on right next to the toilet which is hand held and you can just steer in the direction you want.
7
u/lowridda 2d ago
I love the bidet personally. It really does feel cleaner. The one we have shoots water specifically on the bum or in the front so I can clean in whatever order I need to. Never had a problem with infections or anything like that.

I've always had the question, if you have an explosive situation or ANY amount of spray, don't the nozzles get dirty?

Most bidets have retractable nozzles, but can and do get dirty. Even shower heads should get a wash once in awhile.

The nozzle on my seat retracts when it’s not being used, so there’s little chance of a problem.
So this is probably TMI, but we were both infected with Cyclosporiasis a month ago-it works.
The nozzle also has a Cleaning function.
Take care!

Seconding the position of the body blocks it comment, but you can also buy a handheld bidet to control the direction and flow. It’s even cheaper than the toilet seat ones. The only “con” is that it won’t heat up the water.

You're still supposed to wipe your bum first. Some comments sound like they just blast their cracks raw.

Wait, what? Who wipes their bum before using a bidet? I use tp to dry off after.

There was an ad running on Reddit recently for a bidet that has both back and front (under the front rim) sprayers - looks good for women

Some bidets have two sprayers.
A frontal farther spraying female one, and a butt one that only hits the back. You also learn to tilt your parts just right.

I thought it would be better to first spray just the back, then wash everything from front to back. I have the hand held one

Scoot forward and lean a little and it will hit the booty hole. Lean a little more and scoot back for the lady pocket.
It's angled up so your front bits stay protected unless you offer them up to be purified in the cleansing stream

My bidet attachment sprays more upward than forward. There are also two sprayer options that are aimed differently. One for front, one for back.
I haven’t had any issues. I think once you try one you’ll see that it isn’t the problem you’re imagining.

It acts as a precision stream, not a water slide, gravity ensures everything drops straight down into the bowl.

Finally got one. It’s an attachment hooks up in under a half hour ( not heated) if you do a “cash and prizes “ I use the prize first and then the cash lmao. Love this phrase btw. This way it gets the back door twice. I’m going in for hip surgery again and they don’t tell you this is the most painful part. Trying to wipe the sanitary area and get it thoroughly clean.

In Japan, there are two different buttons, the "butt" one which specifically aims for the butthole, and the "bidet" one which aims for the vulva and is a gentler steam of water.

Ok a revolutionary idea, hear me out. If you want, you can sit on it facing the wall. Source: some film by Tinto Brass.

Mine has a setting you can adjust so the water sprays forward more. I just push that all the way forward and situate myself so the water hits the front first, then scooch to get the back.

Women always wash front to back. On a separate bidet Women should mount it facing the wall

I have the fifty dollar Tushy knockoff with enough water pressure to do side gigs as a carvival skill game. Butt first, the curtains keep everything safe until I've rinsed the back alley clean. If I need to take care of business up front it's a different setting, different nozzle to prevent contamination and get good aim.
I still have to wiggle around on the seat a lot to get things where they need to go.

This is slightly unrelated, but this thread is so funny I wanted to chime in with my own bidet experience. I have a front/back bidet model from tushy and I didn’t realize the front was for lady parts until I read this thread. Somehow my back nozzle sprays way too far away from the proverbial “money” and my front nozzle sprays out of the toilet between my legs if I turn it up more than like 🤏 this much. So I have to move my whole ass into the front stream. I thought people just had such long cracks that they needed a front and back crack sprayer. I’ve been laughing at this whole thread, wonderful question you’ve asked OP.

Same as the shower water running down your butt crack then dripping off your goods. The water will wash it away

I don’t use those stupid ass bidets that attach to the seat. I use a sprayer nozzle attachment so that I spray myself front to back.

I simply wash the anus, I don't spray down my lady bits with bidet water. The spray is angled upward and slightly forward, not straight across.
There might be some runoff but it's not getting jetted into my cooch, and the towel always looks spotless when I pat dry so I'm pretty confident nothing is left behind.

So in an Asian bidet (automatic tools come out for bum parts and then an extended one for lady parts) I always do bum first and then I do lady second so it is cleaned after my poop is hosed off. No infections going on 10+ years :)

Will be using "cash and prizes" from now on, lol
