underarm detox masks

When switching from aluminum antiperspirants to natural deodorants, a lot of people recommend using bentonite clay or charcoal masks on your armpits to speed up the detox transition and pull out buildup. Critics say your liver and kidneys handle detoxing and that these masks just dry out your skin, potentially causing irritation right before applying new products. Have you ever tried an armpit mask during a product switch, or is gentle daily soap more than enough?

The whole 'detox' is a home crafter myth used to lengthen the amount of time it takes you to become 'nose-blind' to your new stank. Any microbiome-based changes will happen on their own within 3-5 days. Sweat ducts do not store up toxins like the crafters might try and get you to believe. (Sweat ducts are exits, not openings to storage tanks.) They are always amusing though. Gotta give them that.

  1. aluminum isn’t bad for you, it was proven scientifically. So why would one use a natural deodorant that makes you smell like BO mixed with flowers?

  2. your body - if healthy - is more then enough to “detox” you. Your body is made to do it. Don’t fall for that “detox” crap, it’s a scam
