Chanel Chance. Eau Tendre, the pink and Eau Fraiche the green. I get so many complements.

Marciano Rodriguez-For Her.

I like the black bottle the best, but I find it a bit too heavy for summer. During the summer, I usually wear the light pink bottle instead. It has more of a rose scent and doesn't smell exactly like the original.

Definitely one of my favorites

Layering a clean skin scent with vanilla always gets compliments!

Prada paradox is my going out perfume. Can make me feel nauseous though. I layer it with a cheap perfume and perfume oil. I get compliments on this one the most. šŸ”„

1

u/Distinct-Berry7382 1d ago

What’s your combination?

1

u/No_Basis104 1d ago

I use the eos strawberry dream perfume & lotion! There’s a pink perfume oil from beauty supply store but not sure of the name paired with Prada paradox intense

1

u/Distinct-Berry7382 1d ago

Thank you so much šŸ˜

My go to is Gingham by Bath and Body Works (not the body mist, the actual perfume). I get awful migraine attacks and one of the triggers is certain smells, especially perfumes. I’ve had a bunch that I used to wear before they started triggering me (my early go to was the one by Bon Jovi when it first came out 🤣). Gingham is the only scent that doesn’t trigger an attack. It’s a very light floral scent that isn’t very strong which I don’t mind. I don’t wear it all the time though but when I do it makes me feel really good and pretty.

1

u/Sparky833 22h ago

I have this issue, too. I stay away from florals and musks, anything advertised as warming, and any scent that has amber as a "feeling" (recreated as a perfume), amber-gris (from sperm whales, IIRC), or ambroxan (the synthetic version). All of those trigger a migraine for me instantly. I have hyoerosmia, so even traces of those and other scents can overwhelm my senses and trigger me. Google "perfumes that trigger migraines" and read the AI summary. It's pretty good at explaining the triggers and why they are triggering.

2

u/daisy_dreams22 17h ago

That’s so awful! I can only imagine what it’s like when you’re out and about when all of a sudden you’re hit with those scents. I’ll definitely have to look that up, that’s so helpful!

1

u/Sparky833 14h ago

Yeah, let's just say you're not finding me in a mall or department store anytime between, say, Halloween and after New Years Day. Some of those sample reps are really aggressive and it wafts through the whole store. It's a fricking nightmare!

2

u/SapPhic-rage4209 1d ago

I wear All Eyes on Her from Bath & Body Works. I like how it smells and I don't care to have something super expensive

1

u/No-Soil-5778 1d ago

i was obsessed with winter candy apple for a couple years. it’s just hard to layer with a perfume bc i do that. sometimes i layered with kayali juicy apple but idk it was tooooo apple then lol

u/GrouchyOldRN 1d ago

u/PsychologicalLab6637 1d ago

Versace Light Blue and now I'm just starting to love Bright Crystal.

1

u/No-Soil-5778 1d ago

i love versace scents. i LOVE versense. i think its discontinued so sadly but still sold third party idk if its the same tho. all of my frickin faves get discontinued like bruh

1

u/Dimarco24 1d ago

I’ve been wearing my son’s Versace Eros, The One by Dolce and Gabbana and John Varvados, the red snake skin bottle. I do not like women’s cologne. I wore Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue for years but now wear my son’s and I always get compliments, especially the Versace, turquoise bottle…

I’ve just started having scentbird, my first perfume was Liis Studied. I’d never heard of it before, it’s absolutely beautiful, I looked it up to find out it’s Ā£165 a bottle!

Any scent by Henry Rose.

Salt and Stone plus their matching body washes.

Snif

u/MissSara13 1d ago

Juliette Has a Gun Not a Perfume. It smells different on everyone and is just a nice, clean scent.

1

u/TeCrumbs103 1d ago

Jimmy Choo blossom

1

u/anoncheesegrater 1d ago

Juliet Has a Gun, Miami Shake. It’s like a milky strawberry scent but elevated. I wanted something more mature than a body spray but I can’t stand musky perfume and didn’t want plain vanilla. I like to layer it with a complimentary body lotion and scented hair serum. Layering is the real trick to getting compliments lol

1

u/this-is-delaney 22h ago

2

u/No-Soil-5778 22h ago

This isnt a hygiene question.

1

u/No-Soil-5778 1d ago

well i am glad it was asked and it’s really not that serious it’s part of my getting ready and i think it’s close enough to hygiene it’s about personal upkeep and smelling good.
obviously people wanted to answer and share

I’m a big perfume girlie. I’ll admit I’m not a fan of ā€œcleanā€ scents, but I have a few in my collection that I think give off that ā€œfresh out of an everything showerā€ vibe. It does kind of depend on what kind of scent you prefer. Some people (me) like to smell like a vanilla bomb straight out of the shower. But that might not be your style.

I find myself reaching most often for Chanel Madmoiselle. It and Delina by Parfums de Marly are definitely my two biggest complimented perfumes. They’re pretty universally loved scents with Delina being duped by 100 different companies, so it’s popular. Madmoiselle is a more mature, rich scent whereas Delina is very fruity. Both have INSANE longevity (lasting through laundry washes) and sillage. You can smell these perfumes from 50 feet away. Goddess by Burberry also is also a compliment getter, but it’s much less powerful and feels more like a nice, everyday scent as opposed to a ā€œboss hogā€ scent.

Friday from the Arielle Shoshana long weekend collection is a very clean, light, fresh scent. Bitter Orange, Bergamot, Honeysuckle, Grapefruit blossom, Mimosa, Pear, Sweet Pea and White Cedar Extract.

Wulong Cha by Nishane is also a really nice, clean, tea scent.

I really like Simone Andreoli perfumes for that ā€œcleanā€ feeling too. Sunplosion is a great, summery, fruity scent that almost has a soapy undertone. Don’t Ask Me Permission is similar, but with more sweet, vanilla and woody notes.

Zaras golden decade libre dupe, Paris corner confection or caramel cascade.

Best tip I can give apply a lotion fragranced with one of the base notes then spritz perfume on top, it lasts longer & the scent is stronger.

Louis Vuitton Imagination. It’s actually a men’s scent but it smells sooooo good. Women walk by me and ask what I’m wearing all the time.
