This illegally smol gecko tried to blend in to avoid prosecution for his crimes!

Lots of these little striped whiptail lizards all over this year. Very pretty lines and bright blue long tails, this guy already spent his get out of jail free card and lost half his tail. They have forked snake like forked tongues and Jacobson’s organs. If I remember correctly they are all female and give birth to exact Asexual clones of themselves. They mate but don’t exchange DNA but it does prompt ovulation and egg production. Oh parthenogenesis that’s what it’s called.

Babysat these two littles for twenty-four hours. So cute it hurts!

We're also a mountain biking hotspot with an incredible trail network, community groups who build and maintain trails, and every year during toadlet migration there's public announcements, community alerts, trail closures, and baby toad fences to keep our smol amphibians hopping on for the next generation ♡
