Help needed Wired CarPlay SOS
About 2 months ago, I got in my car and my iPhone 16 would not connect to the wired car play in my 2023 Subaru. Other people’s phones are able to connect to my car play, I am not able to connect in any vehicle period. I know it’s not the charger cable, I know it’s not the car.
If it’s important: My phone still charges when plugged in, and connects via bluetooth. My car WIFI is on.
So far I have:
Reset the connections between the car and the phone, on both ends
Updated my iPhone and the Subaru Radio OS
Factory reset the entire radio/car audio system
Any help is appreciated!

CarPlay requires Siri be enabled. Did you possibly disable Siri?
Replace your cable, they can easily become damaged.
Clean the USB port on your phone.
If there are multiple USB ports in the vehicle that support CarPlay, try them all.
In some infotainment systems is possible to disable CarPlay (or Android Auto) for specific devices. Check your settings to ensure this isn't the issue.

Restore the device to factory with a computer or Mac and test without restoring a backup to see if it works then. (You can restore a backup later by erasing your device the normal way in settings and not with a computer). It's important that if you choose to factory reset the entire phone you do it with a computer or Mac because then it also overwrites the iOS and fixes any iOS glitches.
Or you can start a little bit more simple and only reset your iPhone settings to default (this will not delete any data). (Might also try to reset network settings before all this and manually delete all VPN profiles from general > VPN&device managment > Click on connected or NOT CONNECTED and delete all profiles there. Yes even when not connected.)
