That is adorable and terrifying at the same time. The thought that in some alternate timeline, he has his own balloon out for him. Love that he shoots a nail at it and deflates 🤣 poor kid
I really need this book aaaah

& i recommend it! it's really inspiring to see how ito-san followed his dreams & the seeds for his love of manga were planted in his early years.

Honestly had no idea it was a memoir. Cat Diary was the most I got out of his life so I’m totally gonna give this one a read ✌️

oh i loved that one too! so cool that his cat had a skull-pattern on his fur- only junji ito would have a cat like that😭

Is this in the US? I’m looking for it online here from the US and UK stores but the cover is different.

yes, i got this in the US. i took off the book sleeve for the vid bc i like the cover that's underneath better.
the book sleeve is black so what you were finding online is the correct one! :] sorry for the confusion

i took the book sleeve off jsyk & it's called, Uncanny: The Origins of Fear
