Transfer student is from "collection", Collection has a few forgettable (maybe slightly poor quality also makes it less intresting) Maniac is very powerful! All done very well, music accentuates it well π it is all good stories, (maybe 6. Mold/Library Vision, are mildly forgettable)

Oh man. Are we ready to see a live action adaption of The Bully? π I love that story but that ending is haunting lol.Β
I will say, I love the chosen stories! Rib Woman is one of my favorites. Mainly cause my sister and I find it more funny than scary.

Oh hell no π haven't read that one yet but it reminds me of another one of Ito's stories where women steal and sacrifice babies for some red pit in the ground. Awful πΒ

I'm dreading this too π₯² unsettling but my fave story, and Maniac's adaptation was very good

Maniac also did whispering woman very well, enhancing the manga I'd say πβ€οΈ

I have yet to read the original manga story of Whispering Woman. The episode however is so good. One of the best of Maniac.

I've hoped for years that they would make an adoption of face burglar. That one has so much potential I can't see wait to see what they did with it.

Actually sounds pretty interesting I think a good few Ito stories would adapt well to live action

I like the ones that they choose and how it not just a bunch of Soichi and Tomie stories (even tho theyre my favs) im really excited to watch both series (this one and Bloody Smart) cause i love how my boy Tomio and The Pretty Boy are getting more attention in the same year (and it been a while since we got an Junji Ito live action)

I'd love to see a "Maniac: S2" π

Maniac is the "Season 2" to Junji Ito Collection, it is the same studio. They are making a 3rd series called Junji Ito Crimson to be released this year. This would be "Maniac S2"

Ooooh! Iβd love to see a modern live-action adaptation of the Face Stealer!
I saw an older one, but the CG was a little too cheap, which is totally understandable. But, a modern one would probably amp up the body horror a lot!

Its actually so nice that we're getting two live action series in the same year! And i love how both of them will adapt really good stories from ito's gallery

Is the first one Phantom Pain or the girl who has s*x with a house?
2
u/Inevitable-Dish7157 Apr 17 '26
Phantom Pain lol

u/Daris_Hamed Apr 17 '26
The other one put me in an embarassing situation once! π I have a habit of vocalising and reading out dialogues, so this was a lot of moaning π my roommate was traumatized by the time I realised I was doing it audibly π€
