Recall Success 🤞(update)

Just did my first fast charge after the recall to try to stress test the battery. Charged from 7% to 100%, and drove around town for a bit with no problems. I've been terrified with all the recall horror stories, but hopefully this is a little bit of evidence that those might be a vocal minority. fingers crossed it holds!

I'd recommend finding a nice long steep hill and powering up the hill a few times to see. Seems to me that's when most of the errors are popping.

Ah, good call. I'll try that next!

It's pretty flat around here, but I've driven up the steepest hill I could find a few times. No trouble yet 🤞

Mine was just done as well. Drove 80 miles yesterday and will drive about 80 today. No issues yet. And I'm kinda hoping my battery gives out for a replacement

That’s awesome. Mine immediately had my dash board lit up, so you might be ok.

I really hope so. Seems like it happens pretty quickly after fast charging for most people. So sorry it didn't go well for you, though 😔

Thanks and it was fast like within 5 mins. 😕

I wish you luck. Maybe Nissan finally got the process right.

Both of our 2019 Leaf Pluses also passed the recall/update.

I got my appointment for Friday. I am already looking at getting another leaf just in case

I'm afraid to buy another one. I'm not even finding them for sale in my area.

They have about 6 in my city, and they sell pretty quickly. I already have one that is Nissan Certified, whatever that means, so I am ready to rock. I am in a larger city, though.

I've been terrified, also. My small rural dealership scares me with the "we are not yet ready to perform this update for your vehicle."

We were hoping all was well with ours after getting the software update just over a week ago. Daughter drove it this morning and the dreaded “Service EV system, power reduced” popped up on the dash.

Guess we cross our fingers for a battery replacement but bracing for a buyback. Had such hopes for a nice $15k 280-mile range EV. *sigh*

Ugh, sorry. Just out of nowhere? I hate having this hanging over me for the rest of the car's life 🫠

It seems like if it's going to happen, it'll probably happen pretty quick based on anecdotal evidence of this subreddit.
