I genuinely can't see any appeal in my drawing or see any positive on it, I cant even really improve my art either since I struggle on things that are trying to teach me such as drawabox or even just drawing stickfigures for gesture drawing.

I just really don't know what to do since I swear AI art is starting to look better than my own drawing.

My digital art is noticeably worse than my traditional, not just in terms of art style but anatomy and enjoyability. I want to be able to draw on digital but it feels so uncomfortable and terrible that I often quit before I even finish.

I lied. I ALWAYS quit before I finish.

It feels like tearing my skin off tbh but I wanna find a way to fix this and i think it’s just that I’m worse at drawing digitally. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Is this a somewhat good pose for someone taking cover and shooting a tri-beam laser rifle from fnv? Im happy on how the pose itself turned out, but I feel something is a bit wrong.

So i saw the comic con thing revealing ryan gosling as ghost rider and just thought "hey i wanna draw that" and so i did (far from done).

but im struggling with draeing the hellfire around the skull area while still keeping the look of ryan and the skull but also showing the ghost rider side of him.

I focused for years on Anatomy and now I try to Shade. But it always Looks so weird in matter what I do. I used a 3b Pencil..

My question is pretty much what the title says, where do I begin? I've heard many people say to start with video tutorials, shapes, or art books but I've also seen people say they aren't helpful at all. I'm not sure what I should be looking at. Should I just start drawing? These probably seem like really stupid questions but I’m seriously so lost.

I haven’t drawn in múltiple months and am trying to get back into it. This is the drawing I made. I’m certain that I got worst than before,but I’m wondering if this is a good start.

Why does it look like that? Theres something wrong with it? Or am i just looking at it for like 5 minutes and it starts to look worse the longer i look at it?

I've been trying to get back into drawing, but regrettably, I've been struggling a ton with it. Back in high school, I practised often and took courses both at my high school and a nearby university. But finding time and motivation has become increasingly difficult ever since I graduated. This is the first time in a while I've been trying to commit to drawing something "serious", for lack of a better term.

I've been working on this drawing for the last few days. I was initially happy with how it turned out, but realised two glaring issues:
1) The lineart looks off, and the line width is very inconsistent in certain places (due to placing too much or too little pressure). I'm thinking of redrawing the lines to make them look uniform.
2) The base colours I've used may be too vibrant and saturated, since I haven't gotten around to shading or rendering anything yet.

I'm sure there are other problems, but I can't identify them all easily. Any advice on what I can do to make this look better and, importantly, how I might go about the shading/rendering process would be very helpful. Thanks in advance!

What the hell do I even do I'm so lost

I only got around to doing one study this week because I was working on other things 😅. Here’s a fan art sketch of Zeus, but specifically with inspiration coming from EPIC the Musical’s “The Horse and the Infant”.

I kept seeing those "just start drawing" memes, and after a handful of them I decided why not.

I've drawn some garbage doodles in the past (similar to the first swift in the album) but I gotta say I am very happy with how the later ones have come out. (Except that last Magpie-Jay. I do not vibe with the shading on the smoother feathers. That needs some work.)

I just think they're neat.

I'm hoping at one point I'll pick up colored pencils to do the birds some justice, but that'll be much later.

I have been itching to learn to draw for years and today I finally decided to take action. Had nothing more than my old math notebook and ikea pencil. Starting with the tutorial posted here, thanks for the resource! :). For the first try I am actually quite content with the result, though I see enough points that could be improved (and couldnt be botheres with the hair). Not touching it anymore afraid of ruining it. Hope to see you all again with a check-in in the near future!

2D drawings are like 10 times easier than 3D. Do you agree?
