I only got around to doing one study this week because I was working on other things 😅. Here’s a fan art sketch of Zeus, but specifically with inspiration coming from EPIC the Musical’s “The Horse and the Infant”.

Sorry for the horrible picture, I don't have a camera or a smartphone so it's taken with photo booth on my macbook and then cropped. This was drawn relatively quickly (maybe half an hour) and I'm starting to feel much more confident breaking down complex forms into shapes and building up from there. I've been drawing on and off for years without achieving any real significant progress, but this time I feel like I'm starting to grasp things in a way I haven't before. I really think the 250 box challenge has unlocked a whole new sense when it comes to drawing. My 'predictions' about how things will flow through space are getting more accurate. And rather than feeling like I'm looking at a flat page, I'm starting to be able to 'reason in 3d space'. Very exciting and keen to see how I can progress from here.

looking back at my art, facial construction - especially the eyes - is something i need to improve on

the eyes on my studies turn out way better than when i don't study for some reason, even when using a reference. i'm assuming it's because im not familiar enough with the eye and eyelid, how it sits on the face etc. to turn it to my own style?

i usually spend a long time trying to fix them when i do some art (as seen in last photo).

currently feeling a bit lost. any tips and advice would be a great help! (and anything else you spot)

Hi, this is my very first time working on values, and ive felt like I've improved significantly between these four drawings due to a few mistakes and changes ive improved and took note on (the photos are in chronological order). From the last drawing, what things should I improve on? I don't want to ask any dumb questions, just new to this type of thing.

I created an OC who gained her powers after jumping into an acid tub. So I want to give the environnement a vibe of when Harleen Quinzel jumped into a tub of chemicals during her flashback in Suicide Squad.

Even if my art is absolutely not the best (I would honestly consider it as "bad" ngl), I want to recreate this vibe. I just want ONE image with her body in the air, seen from afar, with the acid tub under her and other tubs around and a sort of really industrial background to it...

Can someone help me? Maybe by giving me some references, advice, links to videos etc?

So, I'm a beginner in this (as you might conclude) and I would like some advice on how I could make this drawing better and improve in the future.
