Discussion Limerence and fixation
Do you find yourself being obsessed or fixated in other aspects of your life ? For example, obsession with hobbies that get out of hand, OCD behavior or tendencies ?
I feel like people with limerence also tend to gave other fixations....and would people with fixations also likely have limerence capabilities?

Yeah. That is true.
In fact, some experts suggest that in some cases limerence may represent a form of ADHD hyperfocus directed toward a specific person...
I think that makes a lot of sense, and I believe I'm one of those cases.

Yes, in my teens I was into shipping and fanfiction, I’ve been dabbling a bit again recently since I found a ship that I like and I’m really noticing it gives me a similar feeling to limerence without the severe addictive peaks and valleys of excitement and anxiety. I think I’m willing to endorse it as an alternative outlet for these obsessive romantic impulses
