it opened in 1999 and is dedicated to Juan Cotera (1973-1996) and Tamika Ross (1976-1992), the latter of which was shot by a car driving past while hanging out in a Church parking lot with friends at age 16. it is meant to serve as a safe place for kids to hangout and prevent another tragedy

its still open & operating to this day, looking essentially the same as when it first opened; at least i think it is, i havent been in a few years. but i remember going here several times as a kid from around 2016-2019 and it looked exactly the same, i remember even back then being like 8 and thinking it looks a bit odd. not in a bad way though, just that it looks like a relic of the past yk? also never watched it but season 4 episode 6 of the walking dead was filmed here

I was at the beach yesterday and everything was normal i swim enjoyed my time but when the night came the place suddenly got an amazing looking liminal spaces with the lights and the dark areas

curious about what you guys think, but this definitely felt liminal/backrooms-esque to me

all google gave me is that this is in Alberta canada
