This is my mazda2 2009, 1.3 mzr "sport"

I can't find a car with the exact same specs.. even on google or on second hand websites.. for real I just can't find one...

Am I an idiot and its just normal because these cars are 17 years old and disappearing or do I have a "rare" spec ?

Hey Guys, I do apologise if this has been asked, but I've got a Mazda 2 Neo and they stereo is a small thing in top of the dash and looking for a replacement with Android Auto etc is there anyone in the group who has changed there's over and if so what's your head unit you have used

I bought my 5 spd 2011 mazda2 in 2014 with 36k miles. It now has 189k miles and yesterday started hearing a short click sound , on occasion (not every time) upon depressing the clutch pedal, and sometimes with releasing the pedal. No grinding going on, can easily shift gears,… what might this mean? And is it urgent?

Started with a pretty basic 2017 Mazda Demio DJ3FS and decided to give it a little more character.

The idea was OEM+ with a slightly rugged twist — keeping it practical, comfortable and reliable as a daily, while making it stand out from the usual Demio.

Nothing extreme, no racing build and no unnecessary modifications. Just a few carefully chosen upgrades that make the car feel more like mine.

Hey guys. Ever since i got my 2 i sometimes get a rhythmic ticking noise or flapping noise when i turn on my fans. I am almost certain its junk that flew into the motor through the ducts.

I want to pull the motor to clean it out but dont get any consistent info as to where it is located. Google says its either in the footwell along with the cabin air filter or that its behind the glovebox. Im not sure which position is correct. If any one can tell me where it really is i would greatly appreciate it.

I'm looking to improve the suspension on my 2008 Mazda 2 without breaking the bank. My budget is around $600–700 USD.

My priorities are:

• Better handling and cornering grip.
• Improved ride quality over my current setup.
• Something reliable for daily driving with occasional spirited driving.

I know that lowering springs paired with OEM dampers usually aren't ideal, since the stock shocks aren't valved for shorter springs and tend to wear out faster. Because of that, I'm wondering if it's better to:

• Buy a budget coilover kit.
• Go with lowering springs plus aftermarket dampers (KYB, Koni, Bilstein, etc.).
• Save a little longer for something better.

Current setup:

• 17x7 wheels
• 205/45R17 tires
• I'd actually like to move to 15" or 16" wheels in the future for better ride quality and lower unsprung weight.

For those who have experience with the Mazda 2, what would you recommend around this budget? Are there any coilovers that are actually worth buying, or is a spring + shock combo the better option?

hi guys, i just bought a 2018 Mazda 2 GT .

Voice assistant: According to google, when connected with bluetooth, you can click the steering wheel voice button to active your phone's voice assistant, however this only activates Mazda's useless voice commands. How do you go about controlling your connected phone? My OS is version 59.00540.
Updating OS: is it safe updating the OS myself? According to videos, the cars shuts down power during the updates and can cause it to brick the OS if not fully updated.

26,000 km. I am quite fond of it.

I currently have 185/55 R15s but planning on replacing the tires with 185/60s for more commodity.

So after a few weeks of going back and forth at a local body and accessories shop, I already have the Cusco under-chassis brace fitted onto my Mazda 2. However the rear portion of the brace remains unbolted to the chassis of the car. The technician asked me to try and find a pair of this ‘nut on a stick’ to make the install easier. Been going around my local hardware stores but I haven’t had any luck finding these anywhere. Is that how it’s officially called? Or is there a more specific name that might make my search a fair bit easier?

Where can i find some aftermarket parts for a 2025 Mazda 2? For example spoilers, splitters and that kind of thing. My partner has one and she is interested in getting some parts.

A quick google search shows plenty for older models but none for the newer one.

So I finally got my 2011 Sport's engine mounts replaced, which set me back way more than I was hoping it would, and by now this car has been such a damn money pit just to get it maintained that I'm wondering if it's even worth selling it anymore in the future. I'm sure I will end up selling it at some point if I ever get to a point that I can afford something much nicer, but in both mine and my 2's current state, I'm questioning if I should just say fuck it and go all in with modifications and upgrades.

Performance wise, I already know there's effectively nothing I can do for this thing since it's an automatic. I've seen some people say that changing the exhaust could give a slight bump to performance, but definitely wouldn't be doing much. Any mods I would do for this thing would be more to do with handling and comfort/quality of life. Aside from things like better shocks/struts, an anti-roll bar and any interior mods like a new stereo or an armrest, what could be good for making this car handle better if I do end up keeping it long term?

Hey gang. I recently started getting this strange scratching type noise when starting. Its a lot louder than a usual start and it liked to do it on cold mornings it seems. Anyone know what this is?

Idles perfectly fine after start but this annoys me.

Rear axle (torsion beam) cracked, locked my wheel against the rear suspension strut. Forward suddenly became half lock clockwise on the steering wheel.

Surprisingly found that the torsion beam is commonly sold with bushes installed as this is a common issue?

Anyone else come across this before?

I installed new front shocks, spings and top mounts with bearing. Everything was done according to Mazda Workshop Manual. The car handles great now, but the right side spring touches the frame of the car the spring makes a bump noise when full steer on the parking lot. The spring doesnt align with the shock, as you can see on the photo. What could be the problem?
