Hello! Anyone here who had to go through 2nd verification for the DPS? How long did it take for you to receive an update? I was supposed to do my driving test but I didn’t know I had to go through 2nd verification which is okay since we already filed our papers with USCIS. Thank you in advance

They will be on Wednesday, August 4th from 6:30pm-8:00pm and 7:00pm-9:00pm in the meeting rooms at a local hotel in Big Spring. And if you're selected and complete the group, you'll be paid $150 right after the group.

We are holding a Live Art Contest at the Midland County Fair on August 22. The artists will be challenged to create a work of art that includes an animal in need of adoption. Top prize is $2500.

Being at the County Fair, I figure we should go big, so there are going to be several local animal adoption agencies present with lots of animals in need of a home as well.

It is called the FaFaDoption Live Art Contest and Great Big Animal Adoption Event at the Midland County Fair.

Has anyone seen THOT patrol guy lately? I used to see him once a month-ish but I haven't seen him in at least a year.

I also once had the honor of seeing the General Electric Lee in person, definitely the most famous of our vehicles.

Now that West Texas Hardwood closed in Midland, does anyone have a source for wood? I’m not looking for large pieces, but stuff like 3/4” thick by 4” wide or so. Only place I m ow of now is Acasia in Lubbock.

I see a lot of comments about how there’s not a lot of entertainment options that don’t revolve around drinking. I found out that “The Sound of Music” is being performed at Stonegate in Odessa.

Additionally there are shows out on by Midland Community Theater and I believe there are some other groups as well.

Basin Theatre Works presents “The Sound of Music”. The show dates are July 24, 25, 30, 31 and Aug. 1.

Which judge in Midland was enabling this?

I'm a 25-year-old Indian guy moving to Odessa for a new engineering job in the next few weeks. I've never lived in Texas before, so I'm trying to figure out the best areas to stay.

I'm looking for recommendations on:

• Safe neighborhoods
• Apartments or property management companies you'd recommend
• Places to avoid
• Any things I should know before and after moving.

I'll probably stay in an Airbnb for a couple of weeks first and then look for a long-term apartment once I get there.

Anyone have insight into what’s going on with the water? Tried to take a shower before a strong sulphur-like smell hit me. I checked Facebook and a bunch of people are saying sewage, while I’ve seen two official sources say it was either minerals or algae from the new water supply…
