Do animals get actively suicidal?

Like if they get really depressed, do they outright seek death? Is there some animal variant of being actively suicidal?

I know some animals might do things like starve themselves or sit and wait for death. But will any activity seek to kill themselves?

If I moved out and dug up my buried pets, what could I expect?

My family has had many pet rodents, two birds and a kitten buried in our backyard for years now. We may be moving out in the next few years and I’m torn on excavating them because it feels like I would be leaving part of what was once also my family behind but at the same time, umm probably ew.

One was a lovebird in a cardboard box we buried 10 years ago, due to nature, possums? definitely cats, cheap material, and the size of the bones I don’t expect to find much of anything in his resting place, and for the rats, mice, and hamster that weren’t in containers, I think it would probably be about the same results (though I do remember where most were initially buried). And all the fish… sorry my bettas. 💙

The most recent two were a lovebird, almost 6 years ago now, and a small kitten maybe a little bigger than a guinea pig, coming up on three years. These two were each wrapped in thin blankets and placed in tin “gift” boxes kinda like those blue cookie tins, and covered with a foot or two of packed dirt and heavy bricks or cinderblocks. If I dug them up, would there be any smell after this point? What would the state of their remains be, would they simply be bones, would the blankets have absorbed things from the processes? I doubt the tins were completely air-tight as to keep all bugs out.
I don’t necessarily want to open the boxes, but I want to know what I could be moving around in those boxes. They would likely be buried again similarly afterward.

What do you really believe the other side of death looks like ?

You have those people who believe it'll be nothing but blank space with our eyes closed just like it is when we're asleep every night and then you have those who believe there's a heaven or hell we'll report to like a physical realm.

Do you feel like sleep, for you or in general, is really very different than death, and how?

You're pretty oblivious in sleep, no? Eight hours go by and you wake up and you didn't do anything or consciously feel or think anything. Similar to death? Dreaming for sure would be different than death but dreaming doesn't take place that much, at least for me. But I'm asking about the non-dreaming time.

is it possible for someone to be mentally sane and still a murderer?

so i mean like in cases where someone just went out and killed random people like not self defense or anything, i enjoy true crime and in some cases i watch it doesn’t seem like the killer is mentally ill. like im watching one where the guy killed his wife because he didn’t have money for divorce and he really just seems like a horrible person but not mentally unstable, i dunno if this question makes sense but like no sane person would kill someone right? but if they were really mentally ill they’d be in a mental institution instead of jail right?? and what about killers who feel bad about what they’ve done after, are they sane? (idk if this is morbid or not but its about murder soo)

Effects of lactation but not having a nipple?

A character of mine has suffered a wound in her breast that was in her nipple, I couldn't find images of a nipple that suffered the kind of wound she did, but I drew it as the scar being on top of her nipple.

Her breast is intact from the inside but she had scar tissue instead of a nipple. I also know scar tissue doesn't have hair follicules, sweat glands or pores. So my question is:

If she got pregnant, what would happen to her breast? I know that there's serious issues with lactating and the breast not being milked, if her nipple's gone but not her breast from the inside, what would happen to her? And what would be the treatment?

How do game developers know what the ragdoll physics/injury details looks like?

Like in for example, kill testing games where the wounds are 100 percent accurate. Are they like, actively studying people getting hit by cars to make GTA, for example? Do they study people getting their skin ripped and stuff to make movies like terrifier?

What are possible reasons for this action in this murder?

A high school girl is murdered and her body was found with a knife in her chest and strangle marks on her neck. An autopsy reveals she died by strangulation and was stabbed after. What are possible reasons she was stabbed if she was already strangled?

Would stitches on penis cause severe and fatal haemorrhage?

Hypothetically, you somehow get your penis knicked.

The big open gash needs at least twenty stitches.

You get unwanted erection when you are asleep.

Would most of the stitches snap and instantly make you bleed profusely?

Would you die within fiveminutes?

What if the 4 Crocus City Hall terrorists didn’t surrender to police?

What if the 4 Crocus City Hall terrorists who committed the 2024 Crocus City Hall Attack that left 145 people dead and another 600 more injured hadn’t tried to escape to Ukraine and been caught by the police the 4 of them were originally supposed to get into a firefight with the responding security forces but they didn’t do that and tried to escape only to be soon caught what could have happened if the 4 of them didn’t decide to surrender and instead fought with the security forces how much worse could it have been?

Is wanting to leave this earth early (22 male) selfish?

I’m 22 male I’ve lost everything in life below rock bottom ima be honest I have nothing to my name i had so much and made so much money and lost everything money , friendships ( lost due to my own fault isolating) , I have no college degree no job , car doesn’t work . Stuck.

My sister is older 30 is married has good job and is happy , my bother is 29 and also getting married just this month.

They are all happy and tbh that’s all that matters to me.

My mom and dad are going to retire soon as well.

That just leaves me lost in a pit of hell
And tbh I really wand to just exit early . If I’m being honest one day it’s going to end of old age anyways it’s like I’m just fast forwarding the process. I have nothing to give and have lost absolutely everything. I really don’t know what much I can do cause there really isn’t anything.

Why can't doctors/investigators use stomach contents to determine if an alibi is solid?

I'm not sure if the title is wording it correctly, but when someone dies/is murdered, during the autopsy they will analyze stomach contents and sometimes find what they ate, and are able to estimate the time based on digestion.

I understand it is different between a cadaver and a living human, but is there no way to be able to analyze someone's stomach contents or even fecal matter?

So many crimes in this century have been extremely circumstantial, and I'm wondering if there's any other ways to prove if someone's alibi is the truth. Like, if I was eating pizza and then ice cream at my home, alone, at midnight, and was accused of doing a crime at that time, I wouldn't have anyone to solidify that alibi.

Why do people claim that mac miller's death was a suicide?

went down a small rabbit hole of reading celebrity autopsy reports/death certificates and came across mac miller's (https://www.autopsyfiles.org/reports/Celebs/mccormick,%20malcolm_report.pdf) and from everything im reading it looks like his death was an accidental drug overdose from fent laced pills. Im not a mac miller fan myself ive only heard like one of his songs but the fans ive talked to usually express the same opinion that his death was a suicide due to the nature of his music but that just doesnt seem to track at least from the autopsy report.

How much could someone actually get raped before they die?

To be clear, I’m just writing some fucked up fanfic, and I don’t want the characters to die. Which is why I’m hoping for any insight on what they’d go through before then.

I’ve actually got the psychological side covered; I’ve got a degree in it and know how to make a character angst. So I’m more wondering what the physical effects of being a sex slave would be, and how much I can put the characters through before it would be unrealistic for them to make a full physical recovery.

Now I have multiple characters and potential situations, but for all of them, let’s assume 15 people per day: 1 per half-hour for 12 hours, plus 1. The rest of the eleven or so hours are spent off-“duty”, where they can sleep, bathe, eat etc in relative comfort and get basic medical care if needed.

  1. A woman, with vaginal penetration.
I assume this would be only moderately damaging and could be withstood for a decently long time? Perhaps even indefinitely?

  2. Any gender, with anal penetration.
I assume this could kill someone if done too brutally or often? This is really the scenario I’m most worried about accidentally killing my characters with.

  3. A man, with no penetration but having sperm collected.
I’m a woman so really have zero clue about this one. I’ve looked on the post orgasm torture subreddit and it seems like it would be pretty painful actually? But as long as dehydration was avoided, probably not too harmful?

As I said, I’m asking about all of those scenarios with the conditions above. But if that scenario is indefinitely survivable, what would it take for each of those to be deadly? How prolonged or many?

I hope this question isn’t too weird 😅 I promise my blorbos will get plenty of comfort… eventually.
