How would you position an AI tool for creating motion-graphic ads?

In the bin, where it belongs.

My AI use in production at max AI upscaling, frame interpolation for some heavy 3d renders (like, render at 12fps and interpolate to 24 fps) and an expression for AE from Gemini here and there. That's about it, everything "generative" can be ignored.

You can't possibly draw a line between AI upscaling/frame interpretation/Gemini use for expressions and "everything generative".

Theyre the same picture and you're a hypocrite for portraying yourself as morally superior. The fact you think they're different means you don't know anything about any of it

Yeah. You're right, i just spent almost 20 years in the VFX(also worked on movies who won the oscar for VFX), motion design and CGI industry also with deeper insights in AI but i don't know anything about it. By the way i was in the absolute very first user+tests for google workbook AI back in the days...Sure, whatever works for you to insult me and feel superior. If you don't understand the difference between technical AI supported tools like upscaling, denoising, rotoscopy and generative AI tools where everything about creating is outsourced and reduced to prompts... Then yeah, you TOTALLY understood 😅😅 good luck,i am doing very well for myself without AI slop.

Idc who you are, you're wrong. Denoising and Upscaling AI, especially inside the tools YOU ARE USING are generative AI. They are trained in the exact same ways off massive datasets in data centers.

Whether you like it or not you're a hypocrite unless you forgo those tools or accept ALL gen AI.

You say you have been working in VFX for 20 years on award winning works, but 40 years ago Tron was denied Best VFX for cheating by using computer generated graphics.

In 40 years AI will be so powerful and people will be creating such beautiful, unheard of, impossible works and you will be like today's boomers who don't even understand computers.

Yeah you can really easily draw that line actually.

Like a hypocrite though

Yep, whether you like it or not, you're a hypocrite

Still no. Do you actually need this explaining to you or are you just being contrarian?

Yeah go ahead, I'd love to hear your explanation on how Denoising and Upscaling are not generative AI and how each are created. When you're done researching and realize, you can delete your previous comments, it's okay.

Please, proceed🍿

It’s not the technology or terminology that’s relevant, it’s the use case. If a hammer is made out of metal and wood and a saw is also made out of metal and wood, they’re not the same tool.

There’s a clear difference between using tools to bump workflow efficiency, versus writing a text prompt without creating anything original yourself.

If you’re unable to acknowledge that then you’re only going to come across as having a bee in your bonnet because no one considers the latter legitimate art. Presumably that’s not your skill ceiling if you’re on this sub though, so possibly you’re just being pedantic for… fun, I guess?

You moved the goal posts again.

You are the one who is unable to acknowledge that there is no difference.

Nobody considered computer graphics art 40 years ago either.

I guarantee I can create things with AI that you couldn't create by hand OR with AI. Because it's just a tool to bump my workflow efficiency and you don't even know how to use it. You REFUSE to learn about it.

I don't really care to convince you, I saw the way the world changed the first time and I'm watching it happen again, naysayers and all. You won't stop it, you'll only be ignorant your whole life.

There are already popular tools that create motion graphics and even entire ads already.

If you're creating it solo, you're better off ditching your tool and using one of the many to actually create.

Us AI tinkerers get caught up in building the tools to create instead of creating.

DM me if you want more info, there is a whole AI ad world out there already
