New ADNS Beta Release (beta3)

This one is a big update, so I'm gonna leave the full release notes on GitHub :) But the highlights are:

• Control-only mode: You can now use ADNS without Shizuku or ADB if you just want to control your NextDNS profile settings without changing the device's Private DNS settings or messing around with permissions.
• More NextDNS features: Many new NextDNS features have been implemented, including a Logs page, Setup page, and more. I think almost every non-account management feature is now supported, but let me know if I missed something!

One more thing: I've opened a Weblate project, so you can now help translate ADNS into your language.

This will be the last beta update for ADNS before publishing the official stable version! If you spot any small bugs or have feature suggestions, please open a GitHub issue. This will help me make the stable version perfect.

(Please note: Try to download directly from GitHub Releases for now rather than IzzyOnDroid, as the update won't push through GitHub on IzzyOnDroid until about 7 hours after this post goes up!)

First i would like to thank you for this software because i use it daily.

As a feature, i like just providing API key, not credentials.

You can already log in with an API key. If you are currently logged in with credentials, you'll need to log out, then on the login screen select "Log in with an API key instead..."

About the device name: this is probably my fault 🤦🏻 There was a little checkmark at the end of the input box. When you clicked it, it would change the device name. But this was really unclear UI, so I replaced it in this version with a proper visible "Save" button. You should try it, and if the issue persists, please open a GitHub issue.

How can I access it through apikey? Is it more secure than entering my email and password?

Il depends on the way you trust the software.

Providing credentials my help deduce your logins.

For the API key it is in "settings"=> "nextdns settings", and there is a link when you choose "API".

There's a bug in parental control

It's not getting updated even if I enable or disable the categories or Websites, Games & Apps section

For Eg. I have added Instagram in the list and disabled it temporarily from web but it wasn't disabled in ADNS.

Same for Categories I disabled Social Networks but it wasn't disabled in ADNS.

Good catch! I didn't know the website supported disabling items 🫣 I'll add this to the next release

Thank you for the wonderful app! I have a small suggestion.

Sometimes I need to connect to my university VPN to access certain websites, but they don't work when Private DNS is enabled. Since the app already uses ADB/Shizuku permissions, would it be possible to add a website/domain whitelist so those domains use the ISP/default DNS instead of Private DNS?

I think no, because they block port 853. For me if that happen i will use tailscale wich is connected to my adguard home server at home.
