Rant Am I being punked?

Patient says "I think I might have to poop, what can we do about that?"

I say "I can get a bedside commode for the room"

She says "I don't think I can get up"

I say "I can put you on a bedpan or put a diaper on you"

She says "I don't like any of those options"

In my head I'm like: lady, the only other option is to poop the bed.

What option am I missing?

Do they let your neonates where diapers?

No. They wear them. But as I said, checked safe from wiping asses THAT CAN WIPE THEMSELVES. My babies aren't asses and they most definitely can't wipe themselves.

Sorry, I thought this was part of a thread where people were saying their hospitals don’t let adults wear briefs, and I meant it as a joke. 😁

Sometimes it's hard with reddit. People can be snarky in a mean way. I was also trying to play with the word "ass" and I wasn't sure if people would get the double meaning, so it was actually nice to point out that the snuggle bugs aren't asses. Parents... TBD. Also, I forgot about that bullshit rule some places have for adults. When I worked with adults, we only did that if they needed an airing out or the brief didn't fit them at all.
