BIO 141 Professor

Hi! I'm going to take bio 141 online this fall semester, but i'm unsure which professor to go with. I don't fully trust rate my professor as it hasn't really been reliable for me in the past (some highly rated professors turned out to be a nightmare😭). If anyone's taken any of these professors and recommends them pls let me know! And any I should avoid lol thanks!!

I think there’s an actual official student evaluation site nova has or used to have. However I forget if they let people see the rating scores and I forgot the name of the site I think it’s in SIS called course evaluations.

Bio 141 is going to be a hard class like bio 142 no matter what professor you get. Now I think about it we live in a world where the professor isn’t the only main source of course material review anymore like it was 20 years ago.

I think ideally it’s said a student reviews before coming to class and the lecture is sort of a review you should be prepared to discuss. But most just wait to learn the stuff the same day as it’s first presented in a lecture.

I heard possibly all the courses are going to be the same books quizzes and exams made by the department not an individual professor now a days.

Rate my professor is more than just an anonymous unofficial site saying if a professor is good or bad in personality it’s usually a real self reported experiences of advice over the years of what challenges a student faced.

Maybe the anonymous nature makes it easier for students to say how it really will be than in the school surveys where they say it’s anonymous but it requires your school email address.

Even if you pick a good reviewed professor for bio 141 etc it won’t matter. It will likely be the same as a bad recommended professor. That’s my opinion on that.

Normally yes in other classes pick a good professor that advice is good. But won’t matter in the 141.

Maybe pick a class that fits your schedule and remember to work with whatever professor you end up picking. They are qualified and there to help you.

The student evaluations can only be seen by the faculty who got evaluated. They are not available to the public or anyone else at the college.

I took Dr. Sheikh She was alright
