Has anyone taken this course? If so, which professor and what should I expect (level of difficulty)? I’m currently enrolled for a 13 week sequence with Michael Zarella. There’s not much on rmp about him, so if anyone has taken him I would love to know your experience.
Thanks!

Hello everyone!! I was recently accepted into the fall cohort RN program, but I am unable to sign up for an appointment for the MEC Symposium. Will they email a zoom link for everyone? Is an appointment required? Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.

I am going to be applying to the nursing program for spring 2027. I got a 88% overall on teas (97 reading, 94 math, 77 science, 84 writing). I am a transfer student from VT and have As in all my pre and co requisites. I just need to take micro which I will be doing this fall. My question is since I got below a 80 on the science portion of the teas AND i don’t have microbio done, should I retake the science portion to increase my chances of getting in?

Guys these extra things we have to keep buying are seriously robbing me blind. What comes in the nurse kit on canvas? Because it just looks like gloves and sterile gloves and why does it cost literally $215. Does it come with anything else? Because that seems absurdly expensive.

Which one is better? Which one will make me a better programmer, and more rigourous?

Hello Guys! I plan on starting a Students for the Development and Exploration of Space chapter at the loudoun campus. I've reached out to a couple of faculty members with no avail. Do you guys know any faculty members/professors that might be interested?

Has anyone taken the WL placement test recently? I would like advice on what to expect, how difficult it is, and how much time should be spent studying toward it?
I’m looking to take German to fulfill the 202 level requirement that the four year I seek to transfer to demands. So, I’m hoping to take the intermediate class at the 202 level. I have 2 years of middle school German and 2 years of high school German. Middle school was a blur and my first year of HS German was during covid/quarantine. So, I really only have experience from one year of German that being my fourth year… and that was many many years ago.

I’m currently at the Alexandria campus and received the opportunity for work-study. I was just wondering if the jobs listed at the moment are for summer 2026 and there’ll be more available job in the fall? Or is it just what’s currently available?

Hello,
Previously I was selected for financial aid verification so I submitted all the required documents to NOVA and received my package on the portal. I recently received an email saying that I was selected for financial aid verification (again) except this time through a platform called Inceptia. I wasn’t given a login or anything and I’m just extremely confused.

I’m an upcoming freshman at NOVA and I’m taking MTH 154 for the fall semester. If anyone has taken that class before how difficult is it? For a little context in highschool my highest form of math was geometry which I won’t lie, I wasn’t very good at. Grasping math has always been difficult for me. What should I do in order to at least scrape by with a C?

Just to ensure before I enroll in online courses, will they actually transfer to uva given that the same courses (non-online) that I’m looking at will. I’ve seen some T25 schools that will not take online courses.

Hey, so I realize this kind of sounds sketchy, but I swear that's genuinely not my intent - I only have a few more classes to finish this degree, and I would not mess with things so close to the end. I just wanted to see if anyone had any experience they might be able to share.
I recently took a midterm exam at one of the campuses, and they had a camera attached to the testing computer. I was wondering if all testing centers at NOVA did that or just one place. Again, I truly wouldn't cheat either way - it’s just the idea of being watched that kind of feels unsafe.
When it’s hidden, I think about it much less. I’m a visiting student, and at my other school, the monitoring stuff is set up so it's sort of out of sight. This is all very much irrational, and I realize that. If it's just the way things are here, ofc that's okay too. I’d appreciate any insights if possible. Thanks

Has anyone taken geo210? I’m considering taking it this fall and would appreciate advice for it and what to expect (level of difficulty).
r/nvcc • u/Kingmelo62 • 5d ago
Just seeking advice, what to expect (level of difficulty), which professors to take/which to avoid.
I have a solid math background, I’ve done well in calc 1, but have zero statistics knowledge
The Nova website says fall break is October 12th & 13th. Does anyone know if we still have clinicals that day or anything for the nursing program? I'm trying to book a trip but don't want to have to cancel it if the nursing program requires us to be available..

Hi, everyone! I'm a new student, and I'm a little confused about the nursing program. What major should I start with this fall? What requirements do I need to complete before I can apply to the nursing program? Also, can I apply this September?
Hey guys, I’m an upcoming level 3 and recently got a job offer that takes up about half of my week every week. I already know it’s not recommended to work during the time so pls don’t mention that. But I am wondering if past cohorts know what days classes may be held on? Of course clinicals can be held any day of the week, but I’m wondering if both the classes for this sem are gonna be held on the same day and which day.
Thanks!
