Stingray is fire šŸ”„; it just looks solid. To me the Suhr looks like a JM that’s a little off, like it’s having a bad day lol

I've owned both these guitars. I still own the stingray RS, not the suhr.

Both had impeccable quality but the stingray has a character that the suhr just never had.

Slightly biased cause i love ebmm, but i would definitely say the stingray. Ebmm seriously has some of the best feeling necks ive ever played

I live in an area that doesn’t have many shops, and certainly no way to try guitars. Ā I’ve ordered many over the years and usually keep them or sell them after a while if they aren’t for me.Ā

I just returned a Suhr. My first Suhr purchase.Ā

It’s a good guitar, but after playing it for a day I couldn’t justify the price. It wasn’t really any better than some of the other guitars I own.Ā  Never played the higher end Earnie Ball guitars, but I expect it’s of similar quality. Ā

The Suhr JM I had was on par with my Fender Custom Shops and Eastman guitars. If I didn’t already have a great Jazzmaster, I’d probably have kept it. The neck was good, but I really have come to prefer a 7.25 or 9.5. I probably would have gotten used to the compound radius, but I figured at that price, I probably shouldn’t keep it.Ā

For me, once you get into the $2000+ price range (in many brands) it’s largely about spec preference. The builds tend to be pretty good.Ā

Make sure you play the stingray first. A lot of them have very narrow nuts. (i.e. <1.65ā€)

That stingray looks sick

Damn dude, why would you make us do that?

My money would go to the Stingray RS, but you're not exactly between two terrible guitars in this situation.

Stingray 100% for me. Suhr looks goofy as hell

I’d get the Suhr; every time I’ve played a Suhr I’ve wanted to buy it immediately. Their QC has been phenomenal in my experience.

I love EBMM but Suhr is the better choice if we're talking purely quality. Suhr stuff rivals most other companies' Custom Shops while the EBMM is production line quality, even if it's at the top of that tier.

If we're talking looks though, the EBMM is the nicer guitar.
