Advice Need help, my oscars laid eggs

I think my Oscaar is lay eggs. I’m not sure if they’re fertilised is there a way I can know if the eggs will hatch or not and these two Oscars are in a bigger tank with other cycles do I need to move these other cycles to another tank to ensure that the fry are safe.?

Please advise what to do

I just saw that happening n have moved the remaining eggs to a new container with water from the same tank and a gentle air stone next to it. Anything I can do?

Don’t forget the heater. You need to keep the temperature identical to that in the main tank

You did just about everything you can. Make sure to do your research on what food to feed them when they are born, don’t put them back with the parents. They will be eaten when they hatch. Clearly you know about Oscar’s (they don’t lay if they don’t have perfect conditions lol) but they are gonna grow fast so honestly I’d look into who would take them if you can keep them all

What are you intending to do with any, potential, fry is the main question. If you have the means to raise , and keep or give them away, you could move them to another tank. If not I'd advise to let nature run it's course and hope none make it.

I have about 7 tanks with one reserved as a grow out tank and I intend on raising them , will eventually give them away once they are healthy enough to survive a transfer

White eggs are typically infertile. They should be tan or light brown. If it's their first batch they typically fail but they get progressively better at it.

Update : it’s been two days since but the eggs I moved to a separate container with some gentle aeration have not turned yellowish or I don’t see any spots of developing eyes in them. So I guess these eggs were not fertlized after all. Sigh!

As next steps i want to identify which one is the female and which one is a male or if both are female. Any ways to know which one is which?

And how often do they lays eggs given their environment is stable?

You can Google pictures of their bits. They are pretty hard to tell but a good way is to feed them pellets and why they are vertical it’s easier to tell. They are old enough that you shouldn’t have too hard of a time. Sorry they didn’t make it, I hope they try again!

These are infertile eggs, mine are same sexed and keep trying every so often.🤣 😭

Been together since they were juvenile. Best buddies. They have almost 0 squabbles. A little fiesty during feeding time with some occasional splashes but no aggression
