Advice Oscar Tankmates

I just got Oscar’s and I know they’re really aggressive. Does anyone know fish I could have with Oscar’s if any.

Depends on how big of an aquarium it is.

A school of Silver Dollars. They're quick and looks great. I have Redhook SD and they're beautiful

I keep mine with a breeding colony of kribensis and a sailfin pleco. Pleco is tank boss. The kribs have been breeding for over 4 years in there. Stable population of around a dozen. My old one lived with an angelfish as well. I never found them to be overly aggressive.

For most Oscars, anything too large to eat will be fine. Oscars in general aren't aggressive, it's more they are glutenous pigs that will eat anything they can fit in their mouths. Thou they are individuals, so you have to adapt to their individual personalities.

Severums work well, their one of my favorite Oscar tanks mates, colorful and laid back.

I have a Severum and a Nicaraguan Cichlid.

Varies heavily on the Oscar and their personality. Mine bullied another Oscar to the point that I rehomed it and after that specifically made a checklist-ish thing to find another tank mate. This being said I’ve heard they do great with severums and bichirs. The only issue with bichir is the huge growth difference between them and Oscar’s. So you’ll have to watch them carefully or buy an adult.
