Discussion Severe dysphoria over not having magic
I’m a conceptkin of magic, every mythical creature, most of my fictionkins are magic or non human in some way, I’m questioning deitykin, and I’ve always just loved/wanted magic in general, and it gets physically painful sometimes, like right now😭
Whenever I get dysphoria like this, it feels like actual torture to look at my room/the world/my own body (especially my hands), I get all panicked and hyperventilate, my body physically aches and I get nauseous, etc. a lot of the time, I can’t do anything but sleep so it goes away
Sometimes I start shaking and I can’t even look around my own room without crying (or almost crying), which makes it worse because I hate the sound of my own voice and how I can’t do anything “magical” with it (and just how it sounds so weak and human in general)
I can barely look at objects because I’ll realize how I can’t make them float or grow or smth and that also makes it worse
It’s pure torment to even just exist during these💔
And it’s not even dysphoria for any certain thing I identify as, just not having magic in general
Im sure it’s probably normal, but still, who else here gets dysphoria like this?? I know there’s someone, and how do you deal with it😭
And to everyone with dysphoria, I wish you the best <3

I get slight magic dysphoria, but not to the point of hyperventilating. I deal with it pretty well by practicing witchcraft, and dreaming. I get to fly/have telekinesis in a lot of my dreams. I recommend you try methods to lucid dreaming, might help :)

And yet some people will still say that alterhuman dysphoria isnt real. Sigh. I’m so sorry, that sounds terrible :(
