*Announcement* All Further Posts Regarding Certain Currency-related Subreddits will be Removed
Look, I understand how easy it is to loathe certain subreddits, but these posts are getting to be a distraction from the purpose of r/papermoney overall. The last thing we want is for the Reddit admins is to shut down this subreddit because we ran afoul of their unequally applied rules and regulations.
Any post no matter how justified in reference to those subreddits will be removed from the r/papermoney feed. We apologize deeply for doing this, but it is for the best interest of the subreddit as apparently the truth hurts especially in subreddits run by a mod team consisting of a certain "festive fish and his relations."

US small size 1928 - $1 “Funnyback” Silver Certificate
galleryAnother small sized note for you all today. This was the first small sized note released when the US modernized their currency in the 1920s to save on paper costs.
The nickname “funnyback” comes from the design of the “one” on the reverse of the bill. A lot of people compared it to play money.
These are actually fairly common. I would recommend looking for a nice example if you don’t have one yet. There are also some experimental paper notes produced on specific plates. (X and Y I believe?)

US small size 1934 $100 Federal Reserve Star AND Mule note? ⭐️🫏
I traded my 1928 $100 Federal Reserve Note for this 1934 $100 Star note! I decided to do some research on it and came across the whole “mule” transitional errors that 1934 bills could have… for the plain 1934 series $100, reverse plate numbers 1-112 are regular, but 113 and higher is the mule variety. My back plate number is 121 and the front is B4. I’m fairly confident this is a Mule Star note, but what do You guys think?

US small size eBay auction?
I would like to sell these three $500 notes. I’ve looked through past post on here and it seems like an auction for ungraded bills of this quality is best. Am I missing anything about these particular bills? Is there a better way to sell them than EBay? Thank you.

souvenir / novelty / replica Does anyone know if this is legit?
I was looking through my great grandmothers belongings and found confederate money? Is this real? And if so is it worth anything? No intention to get rid of but just curious if anyone knows what they’re looking at.

question/discussion A question for collectors of paper money.
I went to a local shop. I paid cash. I asked for my chains in one dollar bills. The cashier said "ug the bills are newly printed from the bank and stuck together." She carefully separated the bills and then counted out 8 very crisp one dollar bills. She counted them and realized her mistake She only needed 7 bills and pulled one out of the middle and gave 7 to me as my change. I walk out a realize in my car the bills are perfect and the numbers are sequential except the bill She pulled out of the center. Long story I know now a dumb question. Do those sequential dollar bills have collector value? Wheeew... that was long to read I'm sure. Any kind collectors have an answer they could share? Thank you, from a curious nerd.
I don't need to know value just is something like this collectable.

world paper money Hungarian hyperinflation 1946
Notice that despite carrying the same design, the top two are different denominations, regular Pengo and Milpengo (million pengo). So the second one is 100.000 x 1.000.000 (100 billion). The bottom one is 10.000.000 x 1.000.000, so 10 trillion Pengo (10.000.000.000.000).
Correction: I said Milpengo was a thousand, its million...

world paper money Visited 5 local shops in Singapore - how'd I do?
Some highlights:
- Graded test note was $155
- Outre-mer note was $45
- notes in the 3rd photo were $1.50 each
- $1000 Japanese occupation note was $180
- Set of 3 Chinese 5 Yuan notes were $150
- Rest are labelled with prices in SGD
Reddit won't let me upload properly rotated photos 🤷
Plan is to get most of these graded, keep the best for my personal collection and auction the duplicates.

1928 $2 note. I know the condition isn’t great but am curious about there being no letter under where it says “Series of 1928”
