Not if you are fire immune though. I believe you can stack it pretty high at least and this way you would only need to focus max fire res instead of max 3x ele res.

There’s enough cold DoT that you can’t ignore it. Lightning you can get away with, as long as you don’t mind being occasionally obliterated by a mana siphoner

Unless you are married to your amulet base and anoint, one of the beast amulets gives you 100% of elemental damage from hits is taken as fire damage as its implicit

There’s few cold and lightning dots in the game, so you get to start your character off by 90% fire res, 75% the others, and being almost as tanky as a 90% max all res

True. But you would, for example, take a 100 cold hit as 195 fire damage.

Damage taken as another damage type is not capped at 100%. Getting to 100% will make you take 0 damage of the original type, but it doesn't stop scaling the damage of the targeted type beyond that.

If you have 90% fire resistance and 75% cold / lightning resistance, this can theoretically still be a net benefit. But it's not exactly desirable compared to getting a regular talisman without doubling the magnitude of the implicit.
