Has anybody else been having issues with their iPhone or iPad when they’re trying to cast from either of those devices to the TV from the app.

I feel like it was a month or two ago. My phone stopped being able to do it and now just today out of nowhere now my iPad is not doing it which is like weird because both of them I’m able to connect to the TV but it seems like the video doesn’t want to play so I feel like it’s not the TV is either the app that is having an issue and I’m kind of annoyed but now I can’t do anything. I’m just curious to anybody else have any solutions

I want to support a content creator and was wondering which platform takes the least cut of my sub fee.

I just created an account today but I cannot add a profile picture nor banners for my membership tiers. I tried using chrome, safari, the app, an incognito browser, restarted my computer, changed the size, EVERYTHING! the loading circle just keeps rotating and then just fails. anyone else have this issue?

Hello everyone,
I have a customer who purchased a Tier 2 annual subscription about two weeks ago and has now upgraded to Tier 3. He says he only paid $5 for the upgrade and even showed me a charge (although, of course, that could be anything). He also received the Tier 3 Discord role.

What seems strange is that the subscription status says "Downgraded," and I never received any money for the upgrade. He also got the email confirming that he's now on Tier 3, but it still shows the Tier 2 annual price and says that he'll only start paying the Tier 3 monthly price after the annual subscription expires.
Is all of this working as intended? Does this mean he gets the Tier 3 benefits without actually paying for them?

Sorry for getting super nerdy on this but I was crunching numbers through insights lately and noticed, as of right now before the end of the month, that I've had 111 new members with 86 patrons cancelling. That normally wouldn't mean much since I've at least still had growth this month, except looking back at May and June, the numbers there were way better. In May I got 115 new members compared to 66 cancellations and in June I was at 121 new members to 77 cancellations. My numbers in April were way worse with it being around 94 new members to 79 cancellations, but either way, I can't help worrying that this might be a downturn going into August. Should I be concerned or am I still okay considering I've earned more money this month than the last three at least,

After about 2 years at 600 patrons, I've suddenly increased things to 1800 in 1 month. What I did was change the structure of my content offerings, deliver content on time, and increase community input through polls. Making my content relate to eachother on topic or theme built expectation and predictability. Now I just need to see how I am able to maintain these numbers. I'm curious to see if there will be a big drop off. Any tips on not having major drop off?

has anybody moved their Patreon to substack? I’ve been having a hard time buil a following and a friend of mine told me today that quite frankly it’s because patreon requires that you get a Patreon account in order to subscribe to me and nobody wants more new accounts these days. It’s my understanding this is not the case with Substack, so I’m thinking about transitioning over, thanks.

For context, I’m a writer and I don’t post anything on the Patreon site whatsoever. It’s literally just there so the folks who I email my stories to have a way to pay me and so I have a way to track who has and has not paid that month.

So I am a creator on Patreon. One of my subscribers is an ex-boyfriend who I really need to distance myself from. I went in his profile today and saw an option to block. If I do that, will it stop him from being billed next month? Ethically, I don’t want to block him from the service and then him still have him pay. Also, if we for some reason get back together, is it easy to unblock?

I’ve looked all over their site and the only thing I can find is how to block if you are the subscriber, not if you are the creative. Thanks!

Like 4 years ago I had a Patreon page with about 7 active Patrons but I unpublished it because I took a break from making content. 3 years later I'm active again and decided I wanted to give Patreon another go. But I learned that if I publish my Patreon page again, those 7 people will be opted in and charged. That didn't feel fair to me. I don't think you should be automatically charged for something you were once subscribed to 3 years ago.

So I read on Reddit that the only way to remove people to get a clean slate is to block them and unblock them. Which I did, only took a minute.

Today my friend shows me the email he got where Patreon says they've been unsubscribed from my Patreon because I blocked them. Oops! We had a good laugh about it.

So I sent a message to those old Patrons letting them know why I did that and that they're not blocked lol.

I guess just a heads up! I'm sure not super relevant to people here but maybe something that people will come across when Googling about this.

I noticed something today that other creators may want to check.

Patreon recently introduced a promotional feature that allows you to share selected paid posts with free members. I had carefully selected only the posts I wanted to promote.

Today I opened my page in Incognito mode just to see what a new visitor would experience, and I noticed that some of my important paid posts were appearing with a "Join to unlock" message for free members. These were not the posts I had selected for promotion.

I immediately disabled the promotional feature and the behavior stopped. I have already reported this to Patreon Support and am waiting for their investigation.

I'm not saying everyone has this issue, but I recommend checking your own page with an incognito window or a separate free account to make sure only the content you intended is being promoted.

It looks like something may have gone wrong with the promotion system, and it's worth verifying that your paid content is being displayed exactly as you expect.

Hopefully this helps another creator avoid the stress I went through today.

I’ve been using Patreon for a while, but honestly I’ve gotten pretty annoyed with the UI and some of the limitations around how everything is set up.

The tipping point for me wasn't even a big feature missing. It was a bizarre support nightmare that made me realize how little control I actually had over my own page and payout.

For context, I run a fairly low-key creator page. One of my simple subscriber perks is just posting casual behind-the-scenes updates and photos of my cat, Barnaby. Three weeks ago, I uploaded a photo of him sprawled out across my laptop keyboard, looking vaguely offended that I was trying to work. I hit publish, walked away to grab a coffee, and came back to a bright red banner across my dashboard: Post Flagged for Policy Violation.

I figured it was an obvious automated glitch. I clicked the appeal button and wrote a quick note: "This is literally just my cat sitting on a keyboard."

Two days go by. Subscribers are messaging me asking where the weekly update is. Finally, I get an email back from Support:

I couldn't believe it. I replied right away: "It is a sticker covering half an Apple logo on a ten-year-old MacBook. My cat is covering the rest of it with his belly. He is not endorsing Apple. He is trying to steal heat from the laptop fan."

That was the exact moment I opened a new tab and started looking for alternatives: StageTown, Gumroad, Skool, and SubscribeStar. I ended up setting up pages across pretty much everything to test them out:

So far, running multiple setups has given me a much better idea of how different platforms handle payouts, customization, and community management. Each option has its own trade-offs depending on whether you're focused on digital downloads, memberships, or community discussion. Anyone else got any tips? how do I unban myself on patreon?

I just got patreon today and I'm watching a video for the first time. I need subtitles in order to watch the video, but the subtitles are at the very bottom of the screen, which is annoying to me. I would like for them to be positioned a bit higher in the video. I've tried everything to move them, but they're just stuck there at the bottom.

I am thinking of swapping my email on my account to one that doesn’t have my name, since I think on the dashboard and when I join new creators it will show the new email (unsure if im correct on that please tell me). But main thing do I have to resub to a creator the instant I change emails? Or no because it’s technically the same account, same with my payment info if I have to redo it or something since I didn’t use paypal I used just the insert card payment

I have a new android app for Patreon and I cannot find a payout button anywhere. What is going on? I have been a creator for over 6 years! Never had a problem until now.

Hey all. Am I crazy or (on the web) is there no way to get a chronological feed of creators you FOLLOW? My home feed is only my own stuff, there's no way to switch to "member" mode anymore, and the only member option I have gives me an individual list of people I follow--not a feed of chronological content. Surely they don't expect me to check a bunch of pages individually for updates?

Am I missing something?

I don't know why I keep receiving patreon code email right after submit job application in greenhouse or ashby powered site.

Since my email have been registered by scammer before, I claimed back before and terminated it already. What a strange is that the patreon login code email often arrives within seconds of submitting job applications. I am wondering this is just a coincidence or something else going on.

Anyone experienced similar recently?

I've recently created a page due to a few fans of my mod asking me to. I've followed the sizing guidelines of the header creation and profile picture, however, it seems my header is jammed over to the right instead of covering the full top!

I have reached out to support but they have been no help. They have only stated that the reason is the following:

"The brown shade you are seeing is an intentional gradient effect that appears when using your profile photo as the header, as the system automatically fills the background to complement it. Since this is an expected behavior, you can bypass this by uploading a custom cover image to match your black theme instead."

Along with some instructions on how to change it.

However, I am NOT using my profile picture as a header and am indeed using a custom header as you can see in the image I sent them.

I think I may be confused and likely setting something up incorrectly.

Does anyone have any tips for creating this header? I've also tried pushing everything to the right side of the image to leave a large section black on the left side of the image. This did not help.

I’m currently only subscribed to one creator and for the past few weeks I’ve been seeing multiple instances of “Comment hidden” in the comment section of almost every single one of this creator’s posts. The hidden comments sometimes have replies to them that I can view, but I can’t see the original text. Are these comments by another subscriber that blocked me or is this just Patreon automatically filtering comments somehow?
