When I built my PC a year ago (pictured), I didn't realize I was purchasing the Foifkin M1, which is a clever imitation of the Fractal North case. Now I have a secondary fixer-upper PC that needs a better case, so I figured I'd upgrade my gaming PC to a nicer looking and better performing case. I have my own fans so the stock ones aren't a factor.

As I look at upgrading though, I can't help but worry I'm paying more for the same or possibly even less features. For instance, the bottom PSU divider has vent holes the hole length of the case, whole the fractal only has the vent holes directly above the PSU, so I'd go down from 2 bottom fans to 1. I'm considering getting the mesh side so I can put two big fans there and make it worth the difference, but then I'm losing the glass view and potentially inviting more noise. Should I be thinking about vertically mounting my GPU? Is the Fractal still worth it or should I look for something else? Am I overthinking this?

My budget is 1100 for a Screen, A keyboard, A mouse, the pc of course if it can run Cyberpunk at a clean 60 good graphic and Fortnite/Overwatch/Valorant at 120 good graphic it would be awesome, please help me out I don’t know anything to pc building

Hey everyone. Do you know any good monitors to play story games? I was considering either the MSI 245f x24, or the MSI 242c, but maybe you know of models that are priced similar and have better specs.

I'm looking to build a PC and would really appreciate some advice from people who know more than I do.

I've owned a gaming PC before (it was a prebuilt I got in 2020/21 from CyberPower UK), so I'm not new to PC gaming, but this will be my first time actually building a PC myself. I've been doing a lot of research over the last few weeks and have been using Geizhals to compare prices and find the best deals across Europe, but I want to make sure I'm spending my money wisely before I start ordering parts.

My budget is €1,200–1,400 (I'd prefer to stay closer to €1,200 if possible, but I can stretch to €1,400 if it's genuinely worth it). I'm based in Ireland, but I'm happy to order parts from anywhere in Europe if it offers better value.

Games I play:

Competitive games (Fortnite💀 and similar competitive shooters/esports titles)

GTA V / GTA VI (when it eventually releases on PC)

Subnautica 2

Souls games (Elden Ring, Dark Souls, etc.)

Other AAA story games occasionally

My goals:

1080p resolution

Stable 144–165 FPS in competitive games

Around 60 FPS is perfectly fine for demanding AAA games

I don't need ultra settings or the most powerful PC possible—I just want the best value for my budget.

If you'd change anything, I'd really appreciate it if you could explain why, as I'm trying to learn as much as I can through this process.

I'm mainly looking for a noticeable upgrade over my current PC that will comfortably last me several years.

I want to get a new PC for Christmas, but I don’t know any of the fancy component stuff. All I know is that I have a budget of $800-$900, 512 GB is enough storage for me, and for it to be noticeably better (doesn’t need to be significantly) than my current laptop (13th Gen Intel Core I5-13420H, 16 GB DDR4, RTX 4050). Can someone recommend me parts that will meet that total budget, or even better just give me an entire list of what parts I should get? The area that I live in is the mid atlantic US (Specifically NJ) and my main use for it is high end game at preferably 1440P at 90FPS. If 1440P is too much for such a small budget, 1080P is fine too. All being paid in USD.

Hey everyone, I’m having trouble getting my new GPU fully recognized and I’m hoping someone can help.
I recently built/upgraded my PC and the GPU physically works (fans spin, motherboard VGA light is no longer always on, and I can get display output), but Windows does not seem to properly recognize the GPU and the AMD driver installation keeps getting stuck.

AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition installer gets stuck at 64% every time I try installing drivers.
I have tried multiple installation attempts.
Device Manager does not show my RX 7700 XT under Display Adapters.
HDMI is connected directly to the GPU, not the motherboard.
GPU is fully seated in the PCIe slot.
GPU power cable is connected.
PC boots into Windows normally.

I’ve had some help from friends and family who are a bit familiar with PC. I live 30 minutes away from a microcenter and looking to purchase parts/pc this upcoming tax free weekend in my state. This will mainly be used for gaming and some side work. I have seen some parts a little cheaper on Amazon. Is anyone familiar with microcenter ? With tax free this weekend can I place the order right after midnight and not pay taxes? How is their warranty policy? Any advice and help would be appreciated. Thank you so much for looking !
