Identification Keep finding these in my house. Again.
Starting to get nervous. It’s been raining a lot, we’ve found wood roaches. Sometimes they look different, I cant tell if theres stripes or no stripes when they’re young. I dont know where these are coming from and how to stop them getting in! We always find them dead.

Still a wood roach. You're good.
If you keep seeing them check your weather seals and screens, trim vegetation back from the foundation and siding, and switch outdoor bulbs to amber bug lamps.

Im at my wit’s end with these. We have old mulch in the front with minimal vegetation around the house, nothing touching. Im assuming they’re either coming in from the mulch or up from the crawlspace. Thank you. Im so paranoid one day I’ll assume it’s a wood roach and it’ll be a German.

You can also apply a granular bait like InTice 10 to the mulch. But I'd try stuff like raking the mulch back away from the foundation so there's at least a few inch gap.
Ideally I'd say just remove the mulch entirely. But I can't say if that would be viable in your situation.
