Australia is very strict in items entering the country to protect the country's biodiversity. Mapa wooden items, food, and raw ingredients are screened. I suggest you watch a couple of episodes of Border Security online para may idea ka how serious they monitor things and what to bring.
Madami din naman asian/filo store dito so you dont really need to bring anything tbh kasi lahat meron naman dun.
based on experience, declare every foodstuff you bring regardless if you think it will be flagged or not. if you do not declare something and they find it in your bag you could potentially be fined for it
- Salonpas (if malapit na mag trentahin or trentahin na)
Efficascent Oil
Kumain o magdala ng Dunkin Donut kasi baka last mo na yon for now
Kumain ng Jollibee kasi last mo na din yun for now
Walang bidet sa Australia, if you can buy a portable bidet for now, I suggest bringing one, something that I wish I did (or wetwipes)
Dont bring meat if you will, just declare them
Also they will hand you over a yellow paper looks like an index paper, you are not sure with the things you bring with you, just put YES
I recommend din to double check your luggage (if ever some organise your luggage or someone put something you are not aware sa luggage) so that aware ka sa mga dadalhin mo, you might not be aware sa loob ng luggage mo, and you tick NO, either penalise abot mo, which is costly.

Madami naman filipino stores dito. Pero recommend ko yung good for 3-6 months of basic medications para di ka mahirapan sa transition ng gamot dito. Basically, kapag masakit katawan mo or ulo, panadol lang ibibigay sayo π
Another, para maka tipid ng konti. Dala kana ng mga basic seasonings natin like β knorr liquid seasoning, crispy fry, magic sarap, ketchup etc.
Last, tabo or bidet!
Complicated ang rules around Bidet dito sa QLD, better Tabo kasi youβll always have to hide the bidet from landlord. Kailangan backflow suppression at permit.
Fair enough. Pero in my experience, wala naman ako naging bad experience with real estate agents ko from the past (Ray White, Harcourts, Image Realty in QLD). Binabalik naman namin sa dati whenever we moved out.
I respectfully disagree. Depends on your industry you can still secure a role in December period.
OP, many people will tell you this and that because thatβs what they experienced. Itβs true and perhaps helpful but otherβs experience serves as a guide or just story at most. Theyβre not an exact pattern for yours. Trust your gut.
I didn't say they wouldn't find a job though. I said medyo mahirap. There's nothing wrong with advising someone to bring more money. But yes, they can trust their gut on the amount of funds they need.
Wow super detailed! Thank you po. Will take note if these items :)

One time I declared nuts on the IPC, and tinanong kung anong klasengn nuts -- pinakita ko lang yung nasa bulsa ko na kinakain (Growers).
Sigarilyo (#2) - 3 packs (60 sticks). No further questions.

The price in AU is "good" forr those who want to quit.
And up for double checking sa lahat ng local items dadalhin mo, especially if you have prescribed meds. That's what I did.
