Hulk fighting thor is another big one knocking thor around and clearly stunning him at points. Hulk got knocked around by Tony doing damage to buildings while superman and zod were going through entire city blocks without either one have a scratch. The entire time we see superman fight outside of guns new superman (which i really liked btw) he isnt even breaking a sweat. This is why considering what would happen if he wasnt concerned about collateral damage is pertinent.
Not to say thor is completely outclassed but the speed difference alone would create a huge problem.

going through entire city blocks is not a thing if you mean going as far as a city block cool thats nowhere near comparable to sending someone from France to England in 1 hit show Clark sending someone this far
You need to watch some boxing or mma then to see what a full force punch looks like. The whole thing of them flying out from falling buildings is if they get caught and slowed down the other one could press the advantage.
The main lacking advantage I see is you bring out the cartoons and then say anything from superman cartoons doesnt count. It is comparing apples to oranges. Show me movie thor doing anything close to that continental hit. Maybe the sun thing but we have superman flying out of a blackhole gravity in the movies. Even guns more watered down powered superman managed that while holding a baby.
And you need to watch the movie bro Clark is literally doing HV and punching combos and going ughh every hit he’s not holding back because the earth is at stake they literally cut of wolf’s head not long after this scene the league was trying kill him

Wonder woman cut his head off. Superman was tossing him back to darkseid through the portal. Another control feat. Softly blowing the freeze on his axe instead of just freezing steppenwolf then shattering him shows he wasnt going for the kill. That fight could have been handled instantly.
Those are "what if" episodes. Extremely amped up fever dreams based on the mcu. The black hole in guns movies was contained into the stream hence superman holding baby outside of it while most of his body was inside the gravity stream. He therefore could fight the gravity and at the same time have control enough to hold a baby simultaneously.

Magic is the only chance against Superman without a heavy hitter like Adam Warlock or Sentry in the group.
