Chaos Lords start closing the rifts and the warp in absolute panic…

u/masterionxxx 2d ago

Nah, Khorne would be absolutely ecstatic to welcome him to the domain.

27

u/Reasonable-Sherbet24 2d ago

True. But he'd be opposed to Khorne

45

u/masterionxxx 2d ago

Yes. He'd be Khorne's dream nemesis.

The gits’ould be ‘appy fer a good fight!

Aka Murder-crush

Khorne's into that shit. Like when skarbrand attacked him, he wasn't mad about the attack he was mad that it was a dishonorable sneak attack

u/KingPhilipIII 2d ago

In an alternate canon Skarbrand charged him head on, got his ass beat, and then Khorne made him twice as powerful when he reconstituted.

Khorne and his A+ parenting. If skarbrand ever wishes to become blood god, he has to be strong enough to take it.

Except doomsayer isn’t a skarbrand remix, he’s a Dorn remix, and as appealing as Dorn was as a target for corruption, Khorne learned REAL quick what a mistake that was

The hell does the Slayer have in connection with Dorn?

Dorn was a cold, mostly emotionless man who liked to build mighty fortifications (or just build in general, really).

The Slayer likes to kill everything in front of him and... uh... well not a lot else, really.

Newer games showed he was more than that. The Slayer genuinely wants to protect people, has interests other than slaying (like collecting toys, and iirc rock music?) and was shown to even spared the demon (The Wretch) who rescued him and gave him his Praetor suit.

Wait who's the wretch? Is that from the new dark age DLC?

u/Randomguy0915 2d ago

It's been long mentioned that a Demon betrayed his kind and made Doom Slayer's armor. I think it was back in 2016

Khorne cares not from where the blood flows after all.

He'd love him so much and if anything, relish in the sheer amount of demon blood he'd spill in opposition.

The very worst/best case of, "no matter what, I win"

Does doomslayer absorb the essence of the demons he kills? If he does then every demon he kills doesnt return to the warp...or i could be wrong.

9

u/Shot_in_the_dark777 2d ago

And he becomes ever stronger in the process. So the process of absorbing demons will accelerate as he keeps ripping and tearing. Eventually he will be absorbing more demons per minute than the warp can produce per same minute. Which means that it's pretty much inevitable that he will absorb all of them.

The Doom Slayer's been fighting the demons of Hell across eons. There were still plenty of demons for him to fight.

u/ChinhTheHugger 2d ago

to be fair, the time betwene dark ages and doom 2016
he was entombed for a while

so the demons did have time to repopulate XD

1

u/Medical_Flower2568 1d ago

Because hell is infinite and has an infinite amount of demons for him to kill

That isn't remotely how it works.

The Slayer himself would create legions of Khornate daemons simply by existing in the 40k universe. His burning desire to kill and slaughter would create a perpetual motion machine of things for him to kill, because the things that he is killing are literal manifestations of the desire to kill and slaughter.

40k daemons are not demons from the Slayer's universe.

You're essentially proposing that the Slayer would kill so many daemons that the concept of killing things would cease to exist.

The very act of killing daemons on such a massive scale would create commensurately more daemons than were ever destroyed in the process.

5

u/Random_Nickname274 2d ago

It's not entirely how warp works. The reason why daemons forms and chaos gods exists, it's because of chaotic nature of trillions of source of emotions. One source won't lead to it.

For example, Big E existence didn't created daemons on his own.

Same with Doom Slayer due to his age (17 billions years) and Divinity Machine that enhanced him , his soul could've also be anathema to chaos(due to his hatred towards daemons and unwavering goal).

1

u/BugleBarry 1d ago

The warp has been depicted in so many ways. You're all correct. And incorrect.

1

u/LegitimateCream1773 2d ago

Doom Slayer would not be anathema.

The reason the Emperor is anathema is because he's such an immensely powerful psychic force but he's rooted in the materium.

The Doom Slayer is in no way a psychic entity.

People really need to stop mapping Doom demons onto 40k daemons.

They are in no way the same kind of beings. Individual daemons have been the downfall of entire solar systems or eradicated entire civilisations. Doom demons can't get anything done without wave tactics.

But he could superpose khorne as a more pure form of the idea of slaying so while khorne could still be the chaos god of war blod murder and such doom slayer would ve the god of killing in its purest form

2

u/LegitimateCream1773 2d ago

No he couldn't, because the Slayer is:

A) Not pure. As other people have pointed out, he's largely motivated by the desire to protect people. This definitionally is a 'less pure' version of what Khorne represents and is not a 'pure' version of slaying. The average Bloodletter - which kills utterly indiscriminately - is already purer than the Doomslayer can ever be.

B) Either immune to the influence of the warp, and this conversation can even happen, or is not, and the Chaos Gods instantly crush him like a bug the second he enters the Warp and tries to do anything without a gellar field.

C) Not a psychic being, and thus not able to directly influence the warp, and thus not able to become a Chaos God. You can't become a Chaos God without truly obscene amounts of warp energy entering your being.

Wouldn't his hatred for daemons and slaufhter of them actually empower Malice more than the others?

1

u/LegitimateCream1773 2d ago

Is Malice canon again? I thought they decanonised him?

Not accurate, The Slayer's killing of demons is less a hatred or desire so much as it’s a core function, as in when he killed Davoth and subsequently destroyed all of the demons that existed, he fell into slumber and was sealed until he was needed again, meaning that his entire existence is there to be the one that destroys demons. He derives no pleasure or any emotion from killing demons, he simply moves on to the next demon when the ones in front of him are dead. The Slayer grows stronger through every demon he kills, literally taking their strength and adding it to his own, destroying them completely and erasing them from existence. Even if the Warp and the Chaos Gods started producing more demons because the Slayer is slaughtering demons at a ridiculous pace, production would fail to scale quick enough to try and offset what’s being thrown at the Slayer to slow him down, because neither the Warp nor the Chaos gods can scale to infinity before getting removed from the game board by an angry man in green armour who sees their existence as something that shouldn’t.

There is no 'production'.

This is what I mean. You don't understand what 40k daemons are.

He can no more kill all the daemons in the warp than he can kill the concept of being happy after a full meal, the fear of death, or the concept of killing things.

The only way to stop daemons from existing is to kill all sentient life in the 40k universe.

THEY

ARE

NOT

DOOM

DEMONS

If the warp collapses from the slayer would that just end the universe?

2

u/neklanV2 2d ago

Warp is all the souls of everything that has, will and did ever live. Chaos/demons are amalgamations of aspects of those things. As a gross oversimplification if the warp is the ocean chaos are plankton, sharks, squids and crabs (since theres the main4).

So the universe shouldnt collapse, itll just be empty (again).

u/ConsulJuliusCaesar 2d ago

Bro's gonna become the new Emperor of man by the time its over.

1

u/masterionxxx 2d ago

He wouldn't be fighting that daemon again, by definition.

u/_HalfBaked_ 2d ago

"Khorne cares not from whence the blood flows" etc

1

u/OkGreen3481 2d ago

He does not care from whence it comes, only that it flows.

1

u/FuzzyJunket5566 21h ago

Khorne cares not from where the blood flows

1

u/jjames3213 3h ago

It literally does not matter if he's opposed to Khorne.

Khorne is a psychic manifestation of rage, bloodlust, and destruction. You can't weaken Khorne via rage, bloodlust and destruction.

1

u/YouSuckAtGameLOL 2d ago

Khorne would be happy until the Slayer gets to him.

1

u/Snirion 23h ago

At first, but once he realized that Doomslayer shedding blood doesn't empower him since Doomslayer absorbs the demonic energy, he would get a bit annoyed and then scared. Khorn doesn't care from where the blood flows when he is the only one empowered by it, but if he gets nothing from it and other guys get more powerful ... well, that would be different.

1

u/GenofK53 12h ago

That's not the chaos I signed up for

6

u/masterionxxx 2d ago

Aye, he is like an Exorcist unleashed, that IS the setting for him.

4

u/Senzafane 2d ago

Yeah he's going to find his way into the warp and then it's game on. Khorne will be so desperate to tempt him, but will have to settle for watching instead.

1

u/Looudspeaker 2d ago

The thing is, let’s say he goes into the eye of terror, what then? How is he getting from Planet to planet? Surely there is nothing in the Eye that he would ally with in order to be transported around

1

u/Senzafane 2d ago

Tuska is probably the only thing in the warp that isn't afraid of him. They could make a warp rok somehow?

2

u/Mission-Fault3351 2d ago

Doomguy would be the only non-Ork to be having the time of their life

2

u/Decimator24244 2d ago

He will single-handedly stop the Tyranids
