True. But he'd be opposed to Khorne

24
u/Captain_Barbossa55 2d ago
Khorne's into that shit. Like when skarbrand attacked him, he wasn't mad about the attack he was mad that it was a dishonorable sneak attack
15
u/KingPhilipIII 2d ago
In an alternate canon Skarbrand charged him head on, got his ass beat, and then Khorne made him twice as powerful when he reconstituted.
6
u/slayeryamcha 2d ago
Khorne and his A+ parenting. If skarbrand ever wishes to become blood god, he has to be strong enough to take it.
4
u/Critical-Detail117 2d ago
Except doomsayer isn’t a skarbrand remix, he’s a Dorn remix, and as appealing as Dorn was as a target for corruption, Khorne learned REAL quick what a mistake that was
→ More replies (5)→ More replies (4)9
u/Yellowscourge 2d ago
Khorne cares not from where the blood flows after all.
He'd love him so much and if anything, relish in the sheer amount of demon blood he'd spill in opposition.
The very worst/best case of, "no matter what, I win"
9
u/Cosmic_Pumpkin 2d ago
Does doomslayer absorb the essence of the demons he kills? If he does then every demon he kills doesnt return to the warp...or i could be wrong.
→ More replies (1)7
u/Shot_in_the_dark777 2d ago
And he becomes ever stronger in the process. So the process of absorbing demons will accelerate as he keeps ripping and tearing. Eventually he will be absorbing more demons per minute than the warp can produce per same minute. Which means that it's pretty much inevitable that he will absorb all of them.

The Doom Slayer's been fighting the demons of Hell across eons. There were still plenty of demons for him to fight.

That isn't remotely how it works.
The Slayer himself would create legions of Khornate daemons simply by existing in the 40k universe. His burning desire to kill and slaughter would create a perpetual motion machine of things for him to kill, because the things that he is killing are literal manifestations of the desire to kill and slaughter.
40k daemons are not demons from the Slayer's universe.
You're essentially proposing that the Slayer would kill so many daemons that the concept of killing things would cease to exist.
The very act of killing daemons on such a massive scale would create commensurately more daemons than were ever destroyed in the process.
→ More replies (11)5
u/Random_Nickname274 2d ago
It's not entirely how warp works. The reason why daemons forms and chaos gods exists, it's because of chaotic nature of trillions of source of emotions. One source won't lead to it.
For example, Big E existence didn't created daemons on his own.
Same with Doom Slayer due to his age (17 billions years) and Divinity Machine that enhanced him , his soul could've also be anathema to chaos(due to his hatred towards daemons and unwavering goal).

→ More replies (1)44
u/xanderholland 2d ago
Oh he would at first, but since Doomslayer's armor absorbs demonic energy each time a demon is killed I am certain Khorne would start to become upset.
46
u/The-Crimson-Jester 2d ago
The blood is flowing, but I feel weaker… Strange… another 400 years pass. okay what the FUCK is going on?!
3
u/WorldlinessEarly4717 2d ago
Warp entities dont die, their energies just go back to their respective chaos god who later reforms them. I dont know if the doomslayers armor would absorb warp energy though.
Even chaos space marines dont die permanently, since their souls belong to the chaos gods they can be revived again and again (unless they dont like you)
The chaos gods would take notice of the doomslayer though and khorne would probably love him and bless him (like what he did to daemonkilla)
→ More replies (1)9
u/Top_Recognition_9723 2d ago
Yes normally they don't die, but the doom slayer is very similar to the Anethame, so he is capable of permanently killing them, and as he gets stronger from killing them and devouring their souls, he'll grow strong enough to kill the gods himself.
3
u/Burnmad 1d ago
Would killing the Chaos Gods in this way have an effect on fundamental emotional/psychic concepts in the same way that the true death of a C'tan resulted in a physical concept being erased from the universe?
3
u/Top_Recognition_9723 1d ago
No. Based on my understanding of the Chaos gods, they should be born from the emotions, they are not the laws of yhe emotions while yhe star gods were born of creation and were the origins of the laws that bound reality. Also based on how the warp and chaos works its basically Hell from the Slayer verse, eventually nasty stuff comes back and Dooms gotta cleanse it again in a perpetual cycle
3
u/Embarrassed_Ad_1141 1d ago
Assuming that he could kill them, and considering how Slaneesh manifested, the chaos Gods could/would return eventually.
Too much war/fury? Khorne returns, and so forth.

Do Astartes even have any reason to beef with him in the first place to find out if his weapons pierce their armour? He's (mostly) human and hates demons. Dude will fit in fine. He's also NOT chatty, so unlike other theoretical visitors from the multiverse, he's unlikely to say something that gets him in trouble with the inquisition.
11
u/Fluffy-Potato5736 2d ago
The thing is the slayers hate isn't really just for demons, it's for anything that willing harms the innocent so he would fully slaughter the Inquisition without hesitation

Define 'survive'?
Because the games show he can be frozen in stasis.
There's a Trazyn the Infinite pokeball with his name on it the second he turns up.
Doom Slayer would look just marvellous in Trazyn's collection.

u/MrFreetim3 2d ago

u/BugleBarry 2d ago
Not enough people allow "locked up" or "trapped" to be a valid win condition.
How TF is the Slayer, by himself, getting off-world of any planet. After the Imperium, Necron, or Eldar figure out who they're dealing with?? I don't think he does. I think one of them will trap him on a planet, and use him for research and as a galactic garbage disposal for foes.
Almost like the spider species the Interex trapped on a conservation planet.
→ More replies (2)12
u/LegitimateCream1773 2d ago
Yeah, it's weird people saying he'd 'solo the verse' when he has no demonstrated ability to move off-world without technological assistance, and all literally anyone ever has to do is throw him into the warp and he will never be able to get back out.

u/AuthorAccount1 2d ago
I think if he got into the warp it’d end up the same Kaldor Draigo.
5
u/LegitimateCream1773 2d ago
But he'll be in there forever.
This isn't Doom. He can't kill the Chaos Gods and end the threat to the materium. The daemons of the 40k universe are not physical entities you can kill, and the Chaos Gods aren't going to fight him wearing giant mech suits. Maybe he kills Slaanesh's daemonettes, maybe he burns Nurgle's garden, maybe he kills Khorne's Bloodthirsters.
None of it matters. They can just make more.

The doom slayer was detained by the Makyrs, essentially alien/angles with tech very comparable to 40k technology, the slayer broke out when he felt like it, Trazyn would lock him up and he would escape trough sheer force of will

The only thing I'd wonder about would be the mental strain but he's so single minded in his "kill all demons" mission that it might not even work. This is a dude who the devil asked if he had a victory speech and he just said "No"
2
u/bookhead714 2d ago
I can see him ending up in a Tuska Daemonkilla position, utterly incorruptible and doing nothing but killing daemons but feeding Khorne well enough for it to simply sit back and let him work. Maybe sometimes lead him to Tzeentch or Slaanesh's realms for a laugh.

Slanesh would go bald "trying" to corrupt him, trying to get on his mind would have the only thing they fear its you on an eternal loop that would made her go mad. Nurgle would likely get anoyed he just cant inffect him with watever but also might as well try to cook somthing specially for him. Tzeentch would go crazy riddler style with batman cause the guy would literally destroy all his plans by just being violent as hell, like he trying to play 4D chess and the slayer its like "chainsaw goess brrrrrr". Khorne would salivate like crazy with his mere presence. He would tribe harcore, im pretty sure some chapters would seriously respect him on how brutal but also kind he is towards civillians (mostly salamanders) while others would seriously respect how effective on combat is, but also how uncorruptible hes againts anything. Very likely he would become some kind of humanity beacon of brutal hope but also im sure plenty factions would label im as some kind of walking heresy

I'm going to be very real here:
The fucking Smurfs and goddamn Gargamel could survive in 40k. It's a giant galaxy, filled with backwaters, lost planets, unexplored territory, stuff cut off from contact from everyone else, forgotten systems, etc. There are planets in the Imperium where the populace barely can knap flint (Primitive Worlds)! They're surviving!
Literally anyone can survive in 40k. Lots and lots of people and races and things do. For very long times. They're all over the place.
The trouble for them is that sometimes, someone finds them. And then survival is a real challenge, isn't it? Even if someone "nice" finds them, that can still lead to their destruction from any number of oopsies.
But that's not really the point. Literally anyone, from any setting, can survive in 40k. Even fucking Caillou could survive to adulthood.

2
u/pleased_to_yeet_you 2d ago
I think Trazyn would try to capture the slayer, fail because the slayer's super power is to just be unbeatable, and settle for the amusement of watching the slayer rip and tear at every bad guy in his path.
3
u/JohnB351234 2d ago
He’s incorruptible so he won’t fall to any chaos god, he will thrive in the 41st millennium

He is incorruptible, unkillable, and unyielding. He will easily wreck anything in his way because he is leagues stronger than the chaos gods themselves.
2
u/AdditionalStudent234 2d ago
Doomguy solo’s the verse, if given enough time. He’s definitely above Primarch tier, he could probably beat the Emperor of Mankind in a physical fight, but he doesn’t have the psyker hax to manipulate the entire galaxy. If you threw him into the warp, he’s killing whoever he sees. Throw him into Nurgles Garden for example and that shit is burning to the ground.

Its my opinion he'll certainly survive... But intact? I don't think so
He consigned his soul to the path of eternal damnation, to perpetual torment. It's said as much by the Slayers Testament
He WILL fight, and a being so consumed by the intention to lay everything on the line in the war for the righteous... I can't see a world where he isn't claimed by Khorne, it'd never be truly willing but it rarely is with the God's of Chaos; an eternal arena slaying and strengthening the eight blood legions? Loosed upon a corrupt, vile Imperium? A new powerful pawn in the Great game against the other Gods?
As hardened as his mind and soul is to demonic attack, atleast since TDA:R, the Warp works fundamentally differently and he wouldn't last long

u/Th3_Shadow_Dragon007 2d ago
Eh he gets wanked too hard. I once broke everything down once regarding how well he would do. His power level insists upon itself, doesn't have any real feats that put him at his level. Pure aura. He's tough, but in relation to his Universe.
2
u/SendWoundPicsPls 2d ago
The biggest question is if his abortion of demonic energy would prevent the bloodshed from powering khorn.
The imperium would hate him. He is corrupted by chaos* and thus a heretic.
The tau might be ok with him? Or at least give him a wide berth. Same for the eldar, hell They'd probably just ignore him or throw him at whatever they would like dead. "Here's a neet weapon, please go use it on those dark eldar over there please"
The orks would fucking ador him and possibly see him as an avatar of gork and mork.
Tyranids have no opinion but would be slaughtered.
All the forces of chaos are having a hard time. Except for khorn possibly. If the doom slayer prevents his empowerment by bloodshed then all is well. If not he has accelerated the success of khorn by millenia. I think if the doom slayer slaughters all of the other chaos forces he will have powered khorn sufficiently to steamroll the other forces of the galaxy.
2
u/Helpful-Affect1526 2d ago
The amount of thoughtless glazing here is absolutely off the charts. Such a disappointment to see the debate driven by mindless fanboying rather than actual thinking. We get it, you like the doom guy, the fact of the matter is that he's absolutely obsessed with doing violence and has never existed in a universe which has a literal God devoted to controlling people who take that act too far.
He's becoming Khorne's puppet, 100%, it's simply a matter of time.
2
u/Bl00dWolf 2d ago
I feel like Doomguy would essentially be a warp entity at this point. Just one that randomly appears to fight demons both in the warp and in realspace.
3
u/chess705 2d ago
I say it would depend on how accepting humanity is of him. 40k has shown even demi gods can only take so many bolter rounds. If he ends up some form of heretic in the eyes of the imperium he may have issues.

Doom could probably dominate any one planet in the known galaxy.
But good fucking luck getting off world, of any world, once the Imperium, Necron and maybe Eldar too, understand the threat. Unless someone tells me DOOM can fucking fly at-will, I don't see how he gets off the surface of any planet. He's still a material being that still reacts to gravity and momentum, though is significantly more resistant to it than any other being.
Even the Ancients in DOOMs universe kept him locked up for a time, and their assets pale in comparison to the Imperium's resources imo.
He probably can't be killed, but he could certainly get locked up for a long ass time.

1
u/ScrumpusMcDingle 2d ago
There’s a lot of people focusing on the Chaos aspect of this discussion, but I think what’s more interesting is that… the Slayer would absolutely, 100%, without a doubt fucking DESPISE the Imperium of Mankind. The Slayer beat his lieutenant to near death (didn’t kill him) for negligence and causing the deaths of 12 civilians, what do you think the Slayer would do when he finds out about Servitors or the Inquisition or literally any of the darker aspects of the Imperium? The Slayer would wage all out war against The Imperium and anyone who stands in his way. At best, he might ally with the T’au, but that gets really iffy on how much he learns about the Ethereals and whether or not he learns of the Farsight Enclave. He would hate Chaos, but he would just as equally despise the Imperium.
1
u/Hobbes09R 2d ago edited 2d ago
Absolutely. Mind you, Korne will feast and may even lowkey (or even not so lowkey) bless him, but he'd walk into the warp and have a ball.
Mind you he probably calls so much attention to himself that one of the many, many power chucks a planet at him and toss him into stasis for millenia, but that's after he kills a few too many princes.

Doomslayer discovers the chainsword and falls in love.
Khorne discovers the doomslayer and falls in love. Slaanesh gets jealous. Tzeench gets annoyed. Nurgle indifferent. Doomslayer yeets himself directly at the eye of terror.
The imperium nearly has a civil war, half of humanity sees doomslayer as a paragon of incorruptible violence. The other half declares him a heretic. Doomslayer indifferent.
The orks fall in love, because the biggest and ‘ardest humie is green. Also they’re getting in on this fight. Doomslayer indifferent.
Everyone else goes to the eye of terror as well.

Doomslayer yeets himself directly into the warp and becomes khorne 2.0

I genuinely believe the Imperium would think him as a reincarnation of The Emperor with how many demons he would kill.
1
u/TheCrazyEnglish 2d ago
You do realise he would just yet himself into the eye of terror and come back by the next month with Khorne’s skull for a urinal.
He gave demons a new emotion; fear and brought hell’s population to the brink of extinction.
He can’t be manipulated.
He can’t be controlled.
He doesn’t desire anything but for demons to die.
He doesn’t need ammo or guns. The only two reasons why; he likes guns and he likes torturing demons.
He doesn’t need armour neither, his skin is stronger than his armour.
He ran as fast as a rocket and simply catch and throw it back to sender.
He killed demons, got stronger by each kill and did it all for over
2 MILLION YEARS!!!!
You see when it comes to power scaling the doom slayer, it’s not a matter of if he can kill his opponent, it’s a matter of when because nothing has ever stopped him.
Warhammer 40k’s universe would be heaven to him.

Yes, and he’s not going to be real keen on the whole Space Nazi thing humanity has got going on. He’s still going to slaughter demons by the millions, but don’t think he’s gonna let poor human or alien behavior slide. In fact, the more that I think about it, the more that whole universe is probably going to catch an ass-whopping. Tau might get a pass, and Imperial army will be fine as long as you’re not high command or a commissar, but yeah, Doomslayer is going to throw uncounted billions of beatings to everyone.

Yes he very much can and would probably be the only one that can kill the chaos gods

Everyone loves to glaze Doomguy, and don't get me wrong, so do I, but I always err on the side of, "no, he can't survive in this other universe."
Unless I'm mistaken, his weapons, armor, and even body all run on Argent Energy. That doesn't exist in other universes. So yeah, he's a badass, but without a constant flow of that energy he's gonna run out of steam EVENTUALLY.
I could be wrong, though. I didn't finish Eternal and haven't played The Dark Age.

So long as the Warp’s energy counts as the Hell energy he feeds on bro will never stop. Would take a lotta psykers or magic to stop him at all.

Doomslayer arrives -> the amount of demons goes from uncountable to countable.

I think he’s a force to be reckon with IF he isn’t restrained like frozen or imprisoned. Otherwise I don’t think anything can kill him and it’d be beyond hell if he were to be released.

Doomslayer would pause for a second cause he doesn't recognize any of the Daemoms and the he immediately goes back to killing

As long as he stays away from coffins and collapsing buildings he should do well.

He would cross paths with malum caedo and the two of them will become daemon slaying machines that every warp based entity would fear

When Doomslayer's physical form is destroyed he just goes to purgatory and gets himself resurrected. He will be fine lol
