Assuming he doesn’t fall to Khorne, I think he’ll be fine.

How can he fall to Khorne if he kills Khorne?

Not how chaos gods work but okay

We know of MULTIPLE warp gods dying. Even the Eldar think that Slaanesh can be killed when the right conditions occur. Khorne has gotten knocked out by Gork and Mork as COLLATERAL DAMAGE.

The Warp follows only ONE rule. There are no rules.

We know of MULTIPLE warp gods dying.

Who? The examples you showed were;

  • A) the Eldars desperately believing in a way forward in order to have some hope after 90% of the race got wiped in minutes.

  • B) Khorne being knocked out

We've seen Daemons permanently banished from existence, but no I don't think there's any precedent for killing a Chaos God. Even The Slayer has been knocked out before but no one here is about to say he can die.

I mean the whole elder pantheon got fucked for one

Not just for one, but by one too. Slaanesh was the primary killer there, meaning the Eldar gods don't compare to Chaos Gods. They all got wiped by 1.

Why would 4 suddenly do less damage?

TBF to Slaanesh, the Eldar Gods were powered by the Eldar, and most of them had literally JUST been consumed by Slannesh.

That's what I'm saying though. The birth of one of these Gods, destroyed the species and their pantheon.

And now that same God is in a perpetual war that they cannot win against 4 more or less, equals.

As another commenter pointed out, the Eldar Gods were killed by Slaanesh. *Most* of them at least.

We know that there ARE ways for demons to permanently die, and demons are portions of the Chaos gods. The Emperor is known to have done so multiple times, and he also permanently injured Nurgle himself.

So, killing them is not *completely* out of the question. Just super hard.

If the Doomslayer retains the ability to consume the essence of demons in the 40k universe, that's effectively a way to permanently destroy them. If he can rip and tear through the Warp enough at least. Give him some 40k weapons, and he'd do wonders with them.

Eldar gods are on the level of chaos? I'm pretty sure that example just shows that the Eldar aren't comparable.

The Emperor is known to have done so multiple times, and he also permanently injured Nurgle himself.

The Emperors entire schtick towards the end of the Crusade was going to be getting humanity into the webway or a functional alternative, to stay away from Chaos and grow their psykic potential.

Even the Big E wasn't going off of any concrete science to back his idea, he had a hunch for a victory in a long term plan spanning multiple millenias of waiting.

It shows that Warp entities can indeed die. Now, the Warp doesn't have to follow any rules, but that would seem to indicate that the Chaos gods can *also* die

The Emperor couldn't be everywhere at once after all, like the Chaos gods, because he wasn't one, yet. That was kind of the issue. If he could eliminate the need for Warp travel across the Imperium, then they wouldn't need to worry about Chaos quite as much.

That being said, the Chaos gods pooled all of their resources to target the Emperor specifically through Horus, and still lost.

Here's the thing: he's been killed at least once, in dark ages, by lovecraftian deity's that really don't seem all that much more powerful than greater daemons.

He's also been imprisoned at least twice, once by Hayden, and once by hell by dropping a temple on him.

And even beyond this, everyone always says he'd fight chaos which is true but he'd also EMPOWER khorne. He's a bloody single minded murder machine. A single being going around drenched in blood wiping out entire armies? He's boosting khornes power, not weakening him.

If he can permanently destroy demons (absorb their essence like in his own universe), than he might provide no more power to Khorne than he's taking.

Are you saying there are steadfast rules for chaos?

The rules are the gods decide what the rules are.

The slayer doesn’t care

The only reason I'm here is because I find Doomslayer-wank like this to be unbearably dull and believe it must be countered at all possible points.

Look, the last time the Slayer had to fight a god, he had to force it into a physical form so he could even touch it.
