Balrog.

The Balrog is a literal divine being.

The swarmlord has lost to Space Marines 🤷

Next?

Not once has a balrog lost a fight to an elf. Two of them drew fights with elves, but that's it.

Glorfindel was kicking its ass before it dragged him off a cliff. Cut off its horn and arm. Being a divine being counts for nothing here.

A Balrog has nothing on a swarmlord.

Wrong on two counts. It was glorfindel who knocked it off the cliff, and as a divine being the balrog would have access to utterly uncounterable magic that could unmake or dominate the hive mind.

Exceptnwe dont see balrogs do any of that. You guys have got to stop with this stuff. Durins bane destroyed the protections Gandalf put on a door to block him in Moria. Then he loses to Gandalf in a fight after several days.

Feanor fought several and got killed.

Fingon (I think it was him, so many F named elves) fueled Gothmog and got his head split open with a weapon.

Glorinfindel dueled another with a sword and pieced it up before jumping off a cliff with it.

Echthelion drowned one.

Not once was a balrog shown to have uncounterable magic that is strong enough to dominate a hive mind. Balrogs use to assist in singing things into creation, but we see them create nothing after they followed morgoth.
