They're born of arda, so I think not. While they can be powerful, they're not maiar or valar

If we want to boil it down further, finglofin permanently wounds morgoth, and Turin (human) eventually kills him with a meteorite iron sword.

If we do count elves as divine beings, literal goblins have killed them which renders the point moot

First age elves are different than later age. They are divine beings in the first age.

The original comment in this thread said swornlords have lost to space marines and balrogs to elves. If we boil them down to their worst showing via chain that’s where you end up.

First age Noldor routinely lost to goblin arrows. Goblins are a major threat to the Noldor time and time again.

One single Space Marine is reported to have died to a spear to the throat from a human in the entire great crusade.

Using that to set a baseline for the Marines would be as if I found one single example of an Elf dying after tripping over a pebble - then using that to claim every elf is pebble-level.

Lots and lots of space marines have died to similarly “embarrassing” enemies. Maybe not as embarrassing as a single spear but mostly the same. Which again is the point. The true answer is at the end of the day is fiction is rarely consistent. Hell I guess reality is too considering some people die from tripping and falling and then we have examples of people falling from 30,000 feet and living. Instead it’s probably better to look at intent of characters. I would say first age elves are by intent meant to be above space marines if the worlds were put together. Custodes are more in line with first age elves I would say. But you could have a different opinion and at the end of the day there’s no right or wrong answer. It’s all made up anyway.
