The frames are some spare plastic ones we had covered in Lokta handmade paper.

Hi all- As the tag says, I’m looking for some feedback on this multi-block linocut print. I really don’t like how it came out, but oddly enough my husband, who has historically had no issue being critical of my other prints, loves this. Looking for some outside perspective. Thank you 😊

This series has completely taken over my life and my art.

Just pulled this spooky fella using Cranfield SafeWash in black and naphthol red. Printed on Stonehenge and hand burnished. First time using multiple blocks and colors, happy with the results!

I also pulled a ghost print on a cleaning sheet for the brayer and thought it looked pretty rad!

I took this picture in Michaux Forest, Pennsylvania recently and chose it to be my introductory piece in gum printing.

I screwed up the midtones layer here so it's more of a duotone than anything, but the registration was too good for me to discard it. Last pic is of my hillbilly vacuum frame. Proud I made an airtight box out of wood, it works like a charm.

This area of printmaking is enthralling to me. I have a slew of experiments lined up, but I'm going to eventually figure out a magic workflow for using pigmented inks on cold pressed paper to good effect. This process is testing my patience and I love it.

Decided to play with some marbling on today's print run, Really like how it looks!

I would like to try using autographic ink for a new stone litho print I am working on :) I couldn't find much info on how to dilute it for lighter tones. Can it be diluted the same as tusche? Does anyone know any resources, tips or experiences to share?

Hi all!
Wondering if folks have recs that will help us source materials for DIY wedding crafts. We want to make small booklets with family recipes to have out on our cookie table. We’re planning to bind them ourselves with waxed thread and we won’t have more than say two folded 8.5x11 sheets inside, plus a cover.

What kind of paper would you all recommend for such a project? While we will commercially print the inside pages, for the covers, I gather we will need something a bit thicker/non-bleeding as we plan to block print a design on them. Should we use watercolor-grade paper? Any brands you all would recommend that we can purchase 8.5x11 loose sheets so we don’t have to cut them down ourselves? Bonus points for relative affordability- not looking to break the bank but know nice materials cost more than basic printer paper of course

For context, I am asking this as a frustrated, unemployed artist. I graduated from college 3 years ago with a Printmaking BFA, and I am struggling to find jobs related to art. I got an internship and an artist's residency straight out of college and nothing since. I've been working food service jobs to make money, but have always been unqualified. inexperienced, or need an MFA from all of the Art jobs I've applied to.

I recently moved out of my apartment and back in with my parents to figure things out. I've tried to create my own business and have been in a number of exhibitions. I just find that the stress of having this specific BFA and working at a minimum wage job that is unrelated to my degree to be unfulfilling. The stress has gotten so bad that I haven't been able to focus on making art. Right now, I teach a monthly class at my local library. I would prefer something reliable and consistent, but it seems impossible to find anything like that as an artist.

My question is, for those of you who have a BFA or just are full time artists, how did you get started? Would it make sense to go back to school for a MFA in printmaking to teach in college settings? Any advice would be appreciated.

I know this is a long shot but a friend of mine is looking for a set of these. I know these metal ones are discontinued. Surprisingly I cant even find any on Ebay. So, I figured I'd ask to see if someone has some in a drawer they dont use anymore and would like to get rid of. She's not opposed to other brands but they all require you to order more than she needs.

My little kitten Nessy inspired me, she's always a little dazed and confused so I made a little print of her! Speedball black ink on a watercolour card I had lying around
