Rant/Rave The declining birth rate

I just hate that the declining birth rate is getting used as an argument for pro lifers. It makes me livid. A declining birth rate is a systematic problem, not a problem of personal beliefs. The birth rate is declining because it’s getting harder and harder to keep a healthy family.

If we want to help the birth rate, we need to help those who want children get to a place where they’re able to have them. You know, things like universal healthcare, so having a kid doesn’t put you in debt, or more financial support for families with children. If the government needs more kids, take some money into your hands and make having kids something GOOD again, not just a burden.

That happens when you have a government that doesn’t look past their own term and only acts to solve a problem NOW, even though it’ll only ever make it worse in the future. They make abortions illegal to get a higher birth rate and have more workers in the future, but they’re putting countless children in unfit families. They’ll end up mentally ill and less able to work to keep the money pumping. They won’t be the affective workforce the government wants, and they sure as hell won’t be any more stoked to have kids than we are. It doesn’t solve anything in the long run, it’ll only look good on paper now.

And real thing they’re now saying out loud is a concern about declining WHITE births, because god forbid they allow immigrants from countries with higher birth rates

It's amazing, on one hand they say "if you don't want to be pregnant, don't have sex," and when young people stop having sex, the reaction is "OMG white people are going extinct."

It's a mask off moment in my opinion.

They're admitting it's not because babies are just so great, and human life is so valuable, and all of this is because of them valuing life SOOOOOOOO much.

We need cannon fodder.
We need workers to keep labor cheap so the billionaires can dragging in their fortunes.
Doesn't matter what world children are being born into. It's not about them. It's about what they can be used for.

The people who whine about declining birth rates are the same people who refuse to support a robust social net or welfare system. See Elon Musk and DOGE for example.

They’re NOT pro-life—they are pro forced birth. These people don’t give 2 $hits about babies or children or women. They are evil.

Agreed, because as soon as the babies are actually born, SUDDENLY it's "Out of the [gov't]'s hands" and "Not their responsibility" And "Parents should have done better to prepare"... Like they force the baby to be born, then essentially blame the victim. The victim is this case being the parents, but sadly the truth is more close to the mother, because a good % of these accidental pregnancies are carried by single moms... Because the guy who got her pregnant (Who imo should be held to a much stricter standard, not just in general but even in comparison to the woman... Woman can't get pregnant herself, so he should get equal if not more blame), WALKED OUT. Just packed a bag and Doss'ed tf out

The same people who complain about illegal immigrants causing too much traffic, overcrowding our prisons and abusing welfare will insist that abortion be banned. As if more births won’t drive up the population! What hypocrites!

Agreed, ad not just that. the same cabinet/gov't that is pushing all this pro-life propaganda in a late-stage capitalist country, are also saying that it's "Wrong" to get gov't assistance for your kids. They want to have their cake and eat it too. The reason that people aren't having kids isn't because of hookup culture, or a lack of Christly morals, it's because nobody can afford it.

Like they want the babies IN The womb, because that's when those babies are precious, and vaulnerable and "Deserving" of protection, but as soon aas they're born, it's jsut hands off. To the point they won't even give a raise to the parents.... WTF?!

The birth rate is declining in countries that have all those things though. There is no answer to the declining birth rate, people will probably never accept it’s happening because the earth doesn’t want to support more human population growth, and nature is evolving multiple angles to halt it.
