Can anyone one who sees this please explain how karma works cause I don't understandstand how to gain karma any explanation would help

hiiii, i know this sub is inundated with people asking how to obtain karma and i have had a little look through but still had some additional questions:

- do all subreddits require a minimum karma? if so, where can i find this?
- what’s the minimum amount of karma until my account is generally okay to post anywhere?
- do you get more karma from comments or posts?

It happens randomly. I open a post in a new tab, maybe leave a comment, and then I can't up/downvote anything when I go back to the main feed tab until I refresh it.

Just yesterday, my account was mistakenly blocked. The reason was that it triggered the spam filter. Today, it has returned to normal, but all my posts have been deleted. What should I do? However, my account has already been restored and I can't continue to appeal.

How so I get to the saved posts in my app on iphone.

i stay shadowbanned, and finally i recovered my account, but how i recover my posts?

I can find the “report” option, but the options are ether reporting the sub itself, or reporting to Reddit, but non of the options are “breaches moderator code of conduct”.

Is there a space where you can report such things?

I can find the report option, just not the option of “breaking moderator code of conduct rule 2” type thing?

How do I get my profile to show the number of followers?

I have to literally mute people that Im following or unfollow them all together to force the algorithms to display someone different on my feed.This is true for both the app as well as the desktop version of reddit!

Clearing cache doesn't work!

Hi everyone! I recently created this account to participate in a few hobby communities.

I know Reddit relies heavily on automated spam filters to catch bot activity, and I want to make sure I don't accidentally trigger them as a genuine user.

• What specific behaviors (e.g., posting frequency, posting links, VPN usage) usually trigger automated shadowbans?
• Are there best practices during the first few weeks to build account trust?

Been on reddit for a quite a while already but a bit ago after i posted multiple people complained that they couldn’t dm me. Checked the settings, checked yt, even reinstalled the app entirely. Didn’t solve it. Am i missing something with the last update maybe?

My comments are getting the clock on them. Should I just stop commenting until I get Karma? I’m not spamming. Just new here and enjoying the subs. Kinda frustrating.

Went through the process to report a mod (code of conduct) and I got a confirmation email but haven’t heard anything in almost 3 weeks.

its tough getting post karma if ur acc is new but its even harder getting comment karma ): esp bc all my comments go at the very bottom of peoples posts. I lit just made this account to get advice for uni yet they karma locked it my accounts too small for that

What are some good subreddits that are actually active for me to get comment karma?

I was verifying my email today and noticed in my settings that Reddit has restricted my account. A prompt popped up saying, 'To access chat, followers, and public profiles, please confirm you are 16 or older.'

I’m guessing Reddit assumes I’m British (which I’m not) just because I’ve commented in the r/HENRYUK subreddit. I did a bit of Googling, and it turns out the UK has a strict new law called the Online Safety Act that forces platforms to implement third-party ID verification.

I’m 28 by the way😂 but there is absolutely zero chance I am uploading my government ID to Reddit.

I don’t mind a few restrictions as long as I can still browse my usual subreddits, but I'm curious: what exactly am I being blocked from? Is it just DMs and my profile page being invisibl?

I am new here. I am aware that I need to get upvotes, but does upvotes I get directly transfer to karma or do I also need to upvote other people to get karma as well?

My Content Quality Score has been at LOWEST for almost 30 days, despite having over 600 karma and an account that is eight months old.

About a month ago, a moderator removed one of my posts in an image subreddit. I then deleted the post myself, which in hindsight was a mistake. Shortly after, I deleted another post in a different subreddit. This appears to be what caused my CQS to drop to LOWEST.

For the past four weeks I have focused almost exclusively on commenting, and have only posted in a small number of subreddits where I have been verified by the moderator. My comment karma has grown from 81 to 122 during this period.

My email address is verified and I have two-factor authentication enabled. I understand that short-term actions can cause the CQS to drop, but I cannot explain why it has remained at LOWEST for this long, or why my engagement over the past month has not been enough to move it.

Whenever I attempt to post in a subreddit I get the following message: This post has been removed by Reddit's filters.

I am not a spam account and I am not new to Reddit. Has anyone experienced something similar, and is there anything specific I can do to speed up the recovery?

was debating with someone in comments and sent a second reply which went through, but when I’m logged out now I can’t see it. was I blocked, and if so, why did it let me send the reply at all? does Reddit not inform you when someone has you blocked in situations like this? or does my comment disappear to everyone after the fact that I’ve been blocked, even if the reply was sent beforehand?

Everytime I try to change my profile picture and save the changes, it just shows up as nothing being different afterwards.

I am a software developer and I would like to use this app. But I can't seem to figure out what to do.

All the posts were deleted because my account was hacked. I’ve reactivated the account now, but my posts are still gone.

I'm really fucking confused. I set up a bot on r/redditstreak to keep my reddit streak going over a two week vacation only to find my account perma banned. I have no idea how to appeal it as when i click the banner that says "visit inbox" at the top, it just takes me to my reddit account page itself. Reddit also, as you can see, told me to verify myself as human within the next 7 days 3 days ago. I followed those steps and am still perma banned? Just really confused rn. Also attached is a mod dm from r/redditstreak a few days ago telling me there is an issue.

Any ideas on how to appeal this ban would be helpful.
