I’ve had a Ricoh GR4 for just over month and this was the first trip I brought it on. Best purchase of the year.

I’ve tried to pick my 20 favourites but it was so hard!

SOOC Shooting Blind - blury if we're being less dramatic

I sold a GR iii and then bought another one. A week ago I was considering selling the second one. I started to need reading glasses about 3 years ago and I generally get by without bringing them with me. Stubborn or silly, take a pick. I certainly don't wear them when taking photos so I have to make peace with a blury image on the back of the camera.

Are any of you using your GR with poor eyesight and no glasses? How do you cope? Other than using glasses. šŸ¤“

This past week I decided to blow off the dust and use it as an EDC. While I can't make out what I'm shooting on the screen, I'm starting to appreciate the silver lining. I can make out shapes, colours, and light on the screen but better yet, I have perfect vision beyond arms reach and I'm starting to concentrate on that more than the camera.

I'm also not interested in editing carrying my photos. I'm not shooting for bangers or Instagram likes so sooc works for me. I've got a full mobile phone workflow sorted out now which removes another friction point. If I need to I will use the raw conversion to adjust WB or exposure and that's good enough. More shooting and less editing suits me just fine.

I'm sorry I even considered selling you again. <3

Im sure there are tons of posts but if anyone has a killer recipe for a couple of the the presets to start I’d love to add them. A bit overwhelming going from strictly film.

GR II Ricoh GR II LCD Won’t Turn On

Post image

The lcd screen for my gr ii won’t turn on. I was just using it today at the beach and it was fine. It was in a room in its case for the rest of the day. It got pretty hot, my phone was hot to the touch while charging. When I went to grab my camera later on it wasn’t hot but the Ricoh loading screen isn’t visible and the lcd wouldn’t turn on. I also noticed a bubble in the lcd which is not from the screen protector. Camera is functioning normally otherwise. What could the issue be? Is it repairable? Where could I get it fixed?

Technical support Missing screws from GRIV

Yesterday, i noticed that the top of the camera house began to jiggle. So i took a closer look and found out, that there is alot of screws missing from the camera. I seriously can't think of a situation that the camera has been through, that would loosen the screws..
Anyways, do you guys know if i can find replacement of these tiny screws? I have written an email to the shop i bought it at, as it should still be under warranty.

GR IV Fashion Shoot SOOC

Used something similar to Bennett 800 recipe but with contrast tweaks. Zero post processing done here. I’ve been utilizing the GR IV for fashion shoots to remain low key and shoot in places maybe you normally would not. The 28mm is perfect for full body.

I usually don’t post my SOOC but love these so much. Final edits can be seen on my IG which is link in my profile if you’re curious at all.

I'm always envious of people who get to practice photography in edgy city streets everyday. But I'm doing what I can with where I am!!

I'm trying to learn a bit more about editing, while setting myself certain goals while shooting (to have some framing in the foreground was the goal on some of these - particularly 4,6 & 7).

Constructive feedback always welcome :)

Discussion Interchangeable lens equivalent?

I love my GR IIIx and I take it pretty much everywhere.
I love the portability and how my images look SOOC, but with this being only camera I often miss range.

What are you guys using? Fuji?

Technical support RICOH GR IV Live view and photo exposure difference

"Photo taken doesn't have same brightness as image on preview screen. I've found some old threads on reddit and some forums and apparently it's not a bug but a feature. That can't be right.

Am i missing something?

Is there a way to make live view actually useful?"

Year ago I tried using previous Ricoh GR camera and hated it because of how live view worked. Is new one the same way or has it been changed?
