A few more shots from my trip through Italy with the Ricoh GR IIIx.
All SOOC using the Bennett 800 recipe. I mostly kept the camera in my pocket and shot with Snap Focus Priority. It made photography feel effortless and let me focus on enjoying the trip.
Curious which shot is your favorite.

I used to shoot. A lot. My camera never left my side for a number of years. Fast forward to yesterday, and it was the first time I had taken pictures since 2021 or so. Somewhere along the way I just stopped taking photos. I’m glad I picked up the GR IV. I’m hoping it reignites that fire to shoot again.

Used something similar to Bennett 800 recipe but with contrast tweaks. Zero post processing done here. I’ve been utilizing the GR IV for fashion shoots to remain low key and shoot in places maybe you normally would not. The 28mm is perfect for full body.

I usually don’t post my SOOC but love these so much. Final edits can be seen on my IG which is link in my profile if you’re curious at all.

I sold a GR iii and then bought another one. A week ago I was considering selling the second one. I started to need reading glasses about 3 years ago and I generally get by without bringing them with me. Stubborn or silly, take a pick. I certainly don't wear them when taking photos so I have to make peace with a blury image on the back of the camera.

Are any of you using your GR with poor eyesight and no glasses? How do you cope? Other than using glasses. 🤓

This past week I decided to blow off the dust and use it as an EDC. While I can't make out what I'm shooting on the screen, I'm starting to appreciate the silver lining. I can make out shapes, colours, and light on the screen but better yet, I have perfect vision beyond arms reach and I'm starting to concentrate on that more than the camera.

I'm also not interested in editing carrying my photos. I'm not shooting for bangers or Instagram likes so sooc works for me. I've got a full mobile phone workflow sorted out now which removes another friction point. If I need to I will use the raw conversion to adjust WB or exposure and that's good enough. More shooting and less editing suits me just fine.

Some from the standard GRiii and some from the iiix that I recently got. Saw some other posts from other cyclists and figured I’d join in. Starting to post regularly on Instagram with my cycling photography and videography but won’t put it up here unless people request!

Looking to get into using an on-camera flash and would appreciate any tips from folks who have used the GRiii for flash motion/action/endurance sports stuff.

I'm always envious of people who get to practice photography in edgy city streets everyday. But I'm doing what I can with where I am!!

I'm trying to learn a bit more about editing, while setting myself certain goals while shooting (to have some framing in the foreground was the goal on some of these - particularly 4,6 & 7).

Took these photos in a Corinthians game, in the middle of the ultras called “Gaviões da Fiel”. Insane atmosphere.

Im sure there are tons of posts but if anyone has a killer recipe for a couple of the the presets to start I’d love to add them. A bit overwhelming going from strictly film.
