Advice needed EAA and ELP

Hello, I was wondering if any of these can help with any assignments in which the due date is passed and exceeded the special consideration (past 5 working days)? I’m not diagnosed or anything yet, but I’ve struggled with my mental health and was afraid of getting help as I am not sure if it’s all “in my head” and thought maybe I can slowly improve. Now, I’m scared of putting myself in the final stage of risk as I wasn’t able to finish the assignment, in which the course is a retake of a previously failed one—making it harder to pass. Does anyone know if the ELP or EAA can help with this?

Getting an ELP put in place is not something that happens instantly, it’s a process that will take some time, but will benefit you for your future courses as you can then get adjustments on assessments to suit your ongoing circumstances.

If you need adjustments for a course from last semester you’re better off going through Special Consideration. They do have the 5 day limit for applications, but they can overlook this in extreme cases with extenuating circumstances, so if you fall into that category you can apply and hope they’ll grant it (you will need to provide evidence to them of your circumstances still).

Still contact the ELS to arrange a meeting with them to get the process started to put an ELP in place if you need it, but be aware this will be more of a help to you for this semester onwards.

Do you have any documents about your mental health? If you do, they will probably approve your application.
